Batch size is 120. BIM has reservation according to TN Govt norms. OC-31%, rest (incl SC/ST-69%)

pls read between the lines before going through the ranking. it clearly says the following
"Before you read and interpret the rankings, heres something you need to keep in mind: this is a ranking of Indias Most Preferred B-schools. NOT OF THE BEST B-SCHOOLS"

To add more, this ranking is perception based. B schools in metros and those that have a bigger batch strength do have an edge, since its based on polling.

discussion was very heated, one guy was countering every single person, he was pointing fingers etc so was quite rude, people were talking about priyanka chopra's wardrobe malfunction in a bloody activism gd!! I raised some important points such as the indian express' courage in the emergency, 1984 riots, 2002 riots but it fell on deaf ears.

Sorry for the earlier confusion bcoz of the miss-communication bw me and Vikas.
I talked to the admission office.I was not able to get the exact date but they told me that it wud be announced early.
Some where near 10th-12th April.

Generally they don't check but as a rule it is necessary to carry it with u.
I guess it won't be a problem if u reach ur venue at the rightly scheduled date and time.

Mention it in ur form that u don't read novels.

If you have already sent the attested documents then you can just carry the originals with you. They may ask for originals during PI. Make sure you brush up basic concepts of your graduation course. All the best.

I have one different Query....

I got only 2 pages yellow page and I too dint notice and send that form only to BIM..

Then in PI they asked me you got only 2 pages or U lost middle page..???
I was surprised then.. They said its ok , dont worry (I was already worried as thy were throwing GK questions )

Then after PI , another faculty offered me a new form and I filled the missing Info like sports,Work ex etc (again mentioning my name, CAT Reg No, BIM Trichy no.)
..
And while in doc verification process , they dint check my work ex details, they checkd only my 10th,12th, Btech doc..

Then my query is : My both form will be taken care of while making final score ....My concern is work ex(34 months) , which was mentioned in new form...While sending yellow form earlier, I sent all my xerox of acads and work ex..

Hi Jyoti,

First of all, don't call me sir. I believe they will take your work experience into consideration while calculating total final score. As you said they had noticed that the middle page was missing and had asked you to write the details again in another form. right? Why would they do it if they don't need that information? They have collected these information so that they can give you marks for all the relevant sections before generating final call list. So don't worry about these. prepare for other calls and do well, if you have any. All the best.

Dear Kash,

I believe you must have had a column to fill up your work experience duration in the yellow form. If you have filled that then you should not have any problem.

Or just to be doubly sure you can call the admission office and tell them your concern and also send an email with your relevant work experience details.

Let us know if your problem doesn't get resolved.

1. GD-PI takes around 2-3 hrs. Not more than that.
2. For some ppl, GD happens first folowed by Pi and for some its the reverse (PI followed by GD). GD also contains a writing task which has a different topic than GD. Tha panel can consist of 2 or 3 faculties max.
3. I dont know abt Chennai centre. I had it in Mumbai but I dont think timings would be different.

Hi puys, can anyone answer my following queries plz...
1. How long does d GDPI process normally take? minimum & maximum possible time? Depending on it I'll have to decide whether I need to take a leave or not coz I have already exhausted all my leaves and my boss gives me a dirty look when I approach him for a leave request...
2. Any idea about the number of panels for GD & PI? do they happen in tandem?
3. Also my center is chennai and will the timings/panel numbers be any different here?
Any other relevant info is most welcome...

For Kolkata folks today (27 March), the venue is ICICI building(1A), next to Elgin park, between the 2 metro stations - Netaji Bhavan and Rabindra Sadan. The general area seems to be Bhawanipur according to Google maps. Hope this helps !

And faculty told that result will be out on 10th of April.

PS: Though my interview was like quick fire GK and technical question.I spoke "I Don't Know" atleast 10 times...:)

I am sorry for creating confusion. I am a 2009-11 Batch pass out, whereas Aditya is 2011-13 batch Student. The information that I gave was given to me by a faculty in the GD PI panel (I met him in Mumbai yesterday and day before). I asked about it, because many aspirants had asked me there.

What Aditya is telling is probably based on the info given by admission office, because he is present there. I have asked him to confirm again but they have exam tomorrow so he can confirm only by tomorrow evening.

In previous years the results have been declared within 10-15 days of last GD PI date. But deviation from trend is possible...Right? I can understand yours and others anxiety (being in the same position earlier) and will suggest all to kindly overlook Mine and Aditya's Post for sometime. Just keep visiting this thread time to time and I believe you will be happily surprised :)

If you or anyone else has anything else to ask/clarify kindly let us know.

I have checked in the 2009-11 GD/PI thread. At that time they had their GD/PI till March 30 and the results declared in APRIL 4th..

But For 2011-13 batch they had their GD/PI till Apr 21st and the results came by Apr 29th.............

Hope we will expect in the First week of April!!!!!(Not Sure):):):):)

Yes the fees of BIM Trichy is 5.5 lacs..it does not include mess charges and electricity charges that means latter ones are overheads.
In total it would cost u around 6.5 lacs which may include ur mess bill i.e avg. Rs. 3000 per month for 20 months,at max Rs.5000 in total in co-curriculars then Rs.3000 in total for electricity bills for 20 months..left Rs.32000 ur personal spending.



We don't have any official info but it shud come 1 month after the entire process of GD/PI gets over.

the fees was 5.5 lacs untill 2011-13 batch and it included hostel fee (excluded Mess bill). However, faculties have confirmed that it is going to increase by 15%. I believe it was mentioned in the GD PI call letter. Anyway you can always confirm from either admission office or any seniors present there.

Hi,

Hostels are actually BHEL flats which are allotted to BIM for student and faculty Hostel. These are 2 BHK flats. each flat is allotted to 4 person. ( 2 in each room) It will have 1 bathroom, 1 toilet, 1 big Hall, 1 Kitchen (But you are not allowed to cook). Each room will have 4 LAN ports 1 in each room and 2 in Hall and every student gets LAN cable as well. There is no option for single room or flat. and the toilet and bathroom needs to be shared between roommates. AFAIK there is only one flat in Boys hostel which has western-style commode.

since you have submitted the photocopies as mentioned in the yellow form....just carry your original documents for verification...to be on the safer side...you can carry the photocopies of your documents...

hi....dont worry there wont be any problem....i had myself not submitted the yellow form...i carried it to the gd pi venue directly....doesnot matter at all..ull def be allowed to give your gd/pi....so no need to get impatient :)...hope dat helps....:-)

Its not certain that the panel will ask u ques. from the yellow form only..

for ur info:

strengths, weakness, hobbies ,UG marks , area of interest..

Work on ur UG concepts , projects which u handled during ur job , current affairs , some terms like GDP,GNP,fiscal deficit,trade deficit,SLR, CRR, inflation, deflation, hyperinflation
then u should know about ur place, ur UG college..etc.

Guys and Girls who have doubts about attestation and the yellow form, please note:

1) You have to get attestation only in the yellow form(guess its in the second page, after your academic details)

2) No need to get any of the certificates attested

3) If you didn't receive the yellow form, no problem. They will provide you with another one at the interview center.

4) Certification verification process will be simple - they will just check your percentage and verify all the originals.

Be cool and have a good gd/pi.
