Call depends on a lot of factors, like essays, profile etc, but it doesnt matter when you have an exceptional score
So even I am not sure but since you have other converts it shouldn't bother you unless you are hell bent for we school :grin:
in any case ( if you have filled cet ) you are going to convert we mms

It all depends on how u present urself...after getting a call a 75 percentiler has an equal chances as a 100 percentiler....all boils down to how you perform in different tests....

Rightly said comparison of business schools is not allowed on PG.if you want to compare send the pm to the person who you think will be able to provide you the answer and m stating once again comparison is against pg rules

the insitute is approved by AICTE, BD is a new course, so there is sometime before the course becomes eligible for accreditation.

the course is very good...still if u think these things matter to you more, please don't apply, may some deserving candidate who gives importance to faculty, course structure, pedagogy, innovation lab, design thinking approach, rural plus international exposure and awesome faculty, do this course.

First document is of March 2011 & it clearly mentions lack of accreditation.

We always refer the latest data. If you have revised doc, share it. Till then the same data is referenced. This is no-brainer.

All programs have a common selection process, it's not that if you have only applied for BD you have to go for the creativity test
In the final selection list, the courses are assigned according to preferences and total score of the selection process

Badmaninheaven is right...if someone's acads are not good then that doesnt mean he/she is not good...he may be more smarter excellent in other skills...still...he/she is a better bet for a school like WE...then also foe people like having everything awesome....there are other b schools too.....



Interpretation depends from person to person....

Really if we show up we go through the process and its over...just think of a situation where u have to interview 40 or 50 candidates...its a tiresome job to do...also they are much more experienced...excellent in what they do...thats y they are there to make a selection.....hope u understand.....

Its not that freshers have a disadvantage
last year I converted pgdm bangalore, and there were many freshers with less score than that of mine who got through pgdm mumbai :)

So it is all about how you perform in stage 2, the score hardly matters after you get a gd-pi call, because of the selection procedure

Let me paste an info by Rav Singh Sir which I saw on FB, this may clear a few doubts

Lets assume 2 cases:
Case 1: Student A with 99.2 percentile in CET applied for WE. Score - 115
Case 2: Student B with 85 percentile in CET applied for WE. Score - 75
The gap between the 2 students is 40 marks outta 200!
Welingkar PG admission process has 140 marks allocated for the written test scores. Hence, if gap is outta 40/200 it wil be 28/140...
Hence the gap between the topper and last ranker at the end of stage one is only 28 marks!!

This gap can very well be covered by PI or GD alone

P.S. All scores are treated equal in welingkar






There is no harm in taking one although I doubt that they will ask for it, because they will have the form you filled along with all those essays in front of them :)

Everything you mentioned is correct, except the fact that all scores are considered equal...

Welingkar doesn't consider all scores equal.
Welingkar converts all exam scores to EQUIVALENT CAT SCORE, based on the formula given by AICTE.
Till last year that formula was available on DTE website, this year it is not shared with students.

BUT THE COLLEGE FOLLOWS AICTE GUIDELINES.
You guys dont worry about all this, just give your GD PI properly.

Rest will be done as per standard AICTE process.

if a candidate thinks his gd-pi was gud...then it cannot be confirmed whether it was really...
u never know how yur gdpi went...

and excellent acads have there share of weightage...
extracurriculars are subjective...

u might have 48 months of experience in yur dads company and
someone wud have 12 months in a multinational...

u tell which is excellent???

if u personally know all those who cudnt convert then you have every right to make such a comment...

but please understand...

Filled in the spreadsheet @ calls in Delhi. Lets see how it goes. No time to prepare for GDPI, as final examinations are going on. Thankfully, the GDPI date doesn't clash with any exam, so no need to reschedule. :grin:


I am pretty confident when it comes to PI's and being the Quiz Soc President, I am sound with my GK. Have plenty of ECA's too, including Cultural Secretary of my college and Heading the college fests' Sponsorship and Marketing Dept.

My only concern is Acads. 10th - 84 and 12th - 78. Wonder if that would cost me crucial points in the final thing. Have applied for PGDM, Mumbai only with XAT 91.

Hoping I can convert, but seeing last year's thread, where people with even higher %ile and Work Ex, having good GDPI's were not able to convert.

Is there any preference of scoring for Written Examination? As in, CAT, CET is given a higher preference over XAT? I hope not

i dont think it works that way..had called up WE's office a few days back and they told me all the entrance exams are given equal weightage..when i went through last year's thread i noticed that many people with not so good percentiles but tonnes of work ex made it..so maybe thats the key ..but then again, there surely must be atleast some freshers in the insti and they must have got selected by the same procedure..so give it your best and hopefully it'll be enough to sail u through..
