It is not necessary to fill 2nd preference . You can apply for only one of the course. That's only if you are filling for 2 courses.

As mentioned by me earlier also . Please mention the changes that you need to make clearly and we shall inform the admin accordingly.

i am confused about applying to pgdm-FS.
If i apply in april with the same id and pwd will i be charged 1650 or 500 as i have already applied to PGDM-IB? Or it will be better to apply now itself..

Regarding 500 error, make sure you are not using any symbols like ' (apostrophe)

The page shows me the link to download only the filled out form of Form B and I could not find any link for getting Form A printed. I have tried logging in selecting Form A and Form B options.No luck yet.

Placement process is common for PGDM, MMS, IB and FS.
CMAT score will be accepted for FS, RM and Exec courses. :)

What is management in international business?

If the course is so good why the cutoffs were 80.xx last year?
The main reason is lack of awareness among aspirants .But if you analyze the global scenario, International business is future of industry. This is why, in last two years many colleges started IB specific program.


I still have doubt about placements. Can you give idea about placements?
As I stated earlier, PGDM & PGDM IB have common placement process (last year 131 companies). In addition to this, four companies visited exclusively for PGDM-IB. NO, you have relatively better percentile in CAT. But your final conversion will be evaluated on the basis of CAT percentile +GD/PI performance Academics +Work ex score. (Personal experience)

All you need to do is log in , then select the preference for the course PG-IB and then pay rs 500/-. and then the printout of form along with Admit card(if you have posted ur PG form earlier)

I got 93.79%ile in CAT and was thinking of applying to KJ SOM.But I have some problem here.
On my CAT admit card My DOB is 25-01-1990(I filled it by mistake). My original DOB is 26-01-1990. I talked to CAT helpline and they suggested me to get an affidavit signed by a gazetted officer and bring it with me on the date of exam. ALL done and I have recieved my CAT results and no problems uptill now.
But while appling to KJ SOM, I have to mention my DOB in the uploaded pic. and we have to send our CAT admit card also. Now what do I do. They both carry differnt dates. I have the copy of the affidavit. Should I send it that too with the other docs. Would that suffice? Date is approaching so please guys do reply!!

You may send the copy of the affidavit. If CAT authorities were fine with that, so will be SIMSR. Shouldn't be a problem ....

While giving calls, CAT score is of prime interest.

For other acads if lower, you can make up by a good performance in GD-PI process.

Even I am facing the same problem and it is been a long time since I have mailed my form to the college. At that point the photo had to be saved in only DOB format. Now again it has been changed to DOB + first name. What has to be done?
This was the last thing I was expecting after having faced some issues initially as well when I applied well before the first deadline.

Now I have uploaded the pic in the new format. I hope it does not create any other issue now.

I want to fill the application only for 1 probram i.e. PGDM(IB) but initially i had selected both the options and now there is no option to remove my selection ..

one post earlier had mentioned to call up the numbers of the admission desk on doing the same they asked me to E-mail the admission desk and they would solve the problem .. this also i have done .. ( i had actually even mailed the admission desk twice even before calling up the admission desk ... )

so all in all i have sent over 3 E-mails to the admission desk over the last week .. still i am yet to receive a reply ..

dude, the cutoffs for last year have been mentioned innumerable times.... kindly check a few pages back and forth so that it becomes easy for us to handle other genuine queries apart from predicting others' calls...

Regarding tie-ups, the bank has tieups with a couple of banks... will get back to you on this.

Since the selection process for both the courses MMS and PGDM is separate as CAT is criteria for PGDM and CET is for MMS.
students of both courses sit for the common placement process so in terms of placements there is hardly any difference..

Seniors, I applied to KJ somaya on 24 dec-11,. I made payment online.
Now, i just checked my online application & i was shocked to see someone else photograph on my form.
rest of the details are correct but just my photo has been replaced by some other applicant.Even i posted d form to kj somaya address & then it was my photo on print out of form.

This should not be a big problem since you have already sent your application which had your photo,also since you have sent a mail to the ain team they will rectify the error so dont worry.

Since the date for fs is in april you may as well wait for your xat percentile to be announced.fs is 2 year finance mba whereas pgdm just has 1 year of finance as specialization in the second year.

Seniors, I applied to KJ somaya on 24 dec-11,. I made payment online.
Now, i just checked my online application & i was shocked to see someone else photograph on my form.
rest of the details are correct but just my photo has been replaced by some other applicant.Even i posted d form to kj somaya address & then it was my photo on print out of form.
I have mailed at admission@simsr.somaiya.edu also.
but I am highly disappointed bcoz dis issue has arisen & its none of my fault.
My application no. is 101338.

Even I am facing the same problem and it is been a long time since I have mailed my form to the college. At that point the photo had to be saved in only DOB format. Now again it has been changed to DOB + first name. What has to be done?
This was the last thing I was expecting after having faced some issues initially as well when I applied well before the first deadline.

Now I have uploaded the pic in the new format. I hope it does not create any other issue now.

d same thing happened with me..i had a girl photo pasted in place of mine..but luckily after several attempts of refreshing d form i managed to get my photo.u can alternatively try to upload ur photo again by editing the form..no need to worry.it might be due to some system problem.
