The cut off for Praxis is 80 percentile. But equal emphasis is given to your academic record, work experience (if any) and co curricular activities. the placement season for the batch of 2012 (my batch) is underway with almost 50% of the batch already placed. We also have an international placement this year in a Market research Company called Kadence International. The placement is based out of Jakarta Indonesia. Other companies which have visited Praxis are Titan Industries, PWC, ICICI bank, ABD, Advent Brand House. as of now the average domestic salary is 6.5 Lakh and the international salary is 50000 USD

Now that depends upon what are your expectations.

There are many good colleges, but they may not match with the standards of XLRI or XIMB.

Following are some of the reputed institutes through XAT.

It totally depends on you. there are many good colleges apart from XLRI and XIMB. apart from SP JAIN, XIME you can try Praxis.

@unrealheart4mba it seems you have got wrong facts here. I have seen their programe broachure for 2012 the average ctc mentioned is 7.5 and highest being 10.6 this for both mfc & mbe combined.

MFC and MBE-last date 12th december...so hurry up...(average package 8-9)
MIB and mhrod-last date sometime in end of january or february(average around 5.5)

NIRMA otherwise has good reputation but the only problem is its name "NIRMA".
When most of the people would ask me "beta,kaunsi college mein padhte ho?" and i reply "NIRMA", that reaction on their face as if i am learning how to wash clothes is not worth watching.I just have a prob with their name. :D

These are good in terms of ROI being govt colleges. Avg placement above 5.5lpa (Allahabad and calicut 4.5lpa) and fees around 1.5lacs for 2 years.

but what I am feeling is while converting CPI to % upto one decimal point ,I had written 76% while it shud be 75.6%.....chalega kya bhai????

XIIth--86.0%
Graduation--73.2%
Stream of Graduation--Metallurgical Engg.
Work-ex--Exactly 13 months as on 30th September 2011

CAT 2011 Attemps:
Sec 1--18 (90% accuracy)
Sec 2--23 (85-90% accuracy)

Questions:
--How much can I expect in CAT 2011?
--Which B-Schools should I apply?

Guess what all the four colleges you mentioned are coincidnetally equally good or should i say equally great colleges...hardly any difference between the class,status,brand and placements are concerned...

Just that NITIE has lesser fees as compared to the others and ROI is a bit better,not only compared to these three colleges...but after FMS, it's the second best in terms of ROI...

But even if you dont get NITIE, and get into the other three colleges, you should be thankful to God apart from your talents


P.S. I have not done any comparison among the four, but just stated one good thing about NITIE
