IMI Delhi gives a general PGDM degree whereas MICA offers in Communications.. both are undoubtedly incomparable. @ PG, such comparisons are not permitted. U must keep in mind ur personal goals of life, its nt jst abt getting into any b-skool.. its abt ur entire career ahead, things like backgroun...

I have converted IMI Delhi and MICA w/l 18. I want to know which one will be better in terms of placements and profiles and future prospects........
U stand gud chances in clearing thru top b-skools, provided u r confident of scoring bettr in CAT '12 considering ur job. BTW, XIMB wud be a nice take keeping in view dat it wud save ur one (precious) yr.
ATB !!
Keeping in view the current scheme of admission in top 15 b-schools, considerable weightage is given to candidate's profile (Xth, XIIth, Grad. n Work-X) in addition to the CAT score n GD/PI/WAT. I, personally have seen ppl having 85-90% in Xth n XIIth, descent marks in grad., n descent work-x alo...
XLRI waitinglist is 101...dun think ill clear it..XIMB is good totally..but I think with some luck i may get a bttr colg
very good chances. all the best.

yes u r correct its mentioned abt grads only.
see regarding b schools higher marks are preferred.
But if u meet the eligibility criteria, u wil get a call. and converting the college, depends on how u convince them the reason of ur lower percentage in 12th.
But most of the B schools ask ...
As per my understanding of the eligibility criterion the 50% is the minimum requirement only for the bachelor's degree!!
I dnt noticed ur 12th marks earlier. ya, seems that u will struggle very much. coz almost all to 45-50 B school want 50% in 10th and 12th.
and sorry to say, but the minimum criteria for appearing CAT is 50% for open category.

Thank you for the encouraging reply!! but i have a slight confusion, was going through the selection criterion for most of the big 20's and found them heavily based on past acads.
Do you think my below par score in 12th is of serious concern and that i should target my colleges accordingly or ...
Follow the pagalguy 2012 rankings and target the top 20 tier and this time concentrate on studies
13 IIMs, MDI, XLRI(XAT), FMS, etc should be ur 1st choice

I strongly differ. Yes ofcourse the 1st placement depends upon the college but after 4 to 5 yrs down the line what matters is ur own potential, the job profile u hv, the rise u hv had in ur career, hw well u knw ur job etc etc.Yes ofcouse brands like and only like old IIMs,XLRI,FMS can help u fo...

The 1st placement solely depepnds in the college.
but after u join one company. the brand name matters a lot during company swap etc. and probably MBA is the last degree u willl pursue, so the brand name wil get attached with you for the lifetime
So go 4 better brand

Ur present workex is 2.4 years, u wil hav abt 3.2 years experience wen u wil appear for GD/PI,
If targetting indian B schools, can think of ISB hyderabad, or Great Lakes Chennai.
Appearing CAT wil widen ur range.
But if u go for GMAT, and take admission in ISB, then ur session wil start ...
U can aim for iim a, fms , mdi ,etc etc reason being for iim a u have to fulfill their application rating. for fms, mdi it is totally score based , also as u r non-engineer female u have a vry gud chance of getting admission anywhere. But for ryt now just concentrate on ur CAT and 1 more thing - ...
you have a decent profile as far as 10,12 and work experience are concerned but low graduation marks can hamper ur chances at some iim's but being a non engineer can compensate for it.....so u should get good percentile in cat and must target iims, fms, and delhi university collages, they are quite ...

I have converted IMT G(Fin) and VGSOM and I have a slim chance of making it through MDI PGPIM. Which one should I choose among the three?
guys, in your opinion, which would be a better a choice..
IMT G(Finance) or IMI PGDM,considering I am ok with either finance or marketing..
Yes 4 years or a PG.
It's true that IMT Ghaziabad has its brand diluted, but it is STILL a very good institute. If you are ok with choosing IT as a specialization, you should definitely take up IMT-G. However, the IT program isn't as recognized as the other programs in IMT.
SIBM-B has the Symbiosis tag. The advant...
I mentioned IIT, so that u can keep ur options open. its in news that from next year IITs wil take general graduates ike bba, bbca, bsc. But u nvr knw till the notification is out. so just wait. a lot of good B schools are there, usually notifications start coming by the month pf august.

IMT -G (IT) is a good choice considering your other options if yo want to go to IT
I have SIBM-Bangl convert, IMT-G(I.T) and UBS(Which i am highly optimistic of converting).
Please guide which 1 should i choose?
With IMT-G losing some of its brand value, I am really sceptical of joining it. So, basically, it comes down to SIBM-Bangl or UBS. Both have avg package close to...
Yes, it is true. But admission criteria are subject to changes year after year. First secure a good score and channelize ur energy towards this goal. Once u get a decent score many doors will open for u.
For aspirants having work-x in infrastructure related sector, may consider applying @ Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management, Ahmedabad.
