All applicants are expected to write CAT 2010 exam as we accept only CAT Score for admissions.

Important Dates
Issue of brochure/ online application begins : October 4 , 2010
Last date for submission of online applications : November 30, 2010

Application Fee : Rs. 1000 only

Last Date for submission of online applications: 21 December, 2010
Last date for recieving hard copy of application by post: 31 December, 2010

Few General Instructions

1. You need to send print out of form along with bank challan with application for number mentioned on its back. 4 self addressed stickers also need to be sent along with the form.

2. Photocopies of 10, 12 and B.Tech marksheets to be sent along with form along with work experience proof ( if applicable).

3.Though it is mentioned in point number 7 on website ( in instructions for applying online) that documents should be attested, it is not necessary at this stage. Even un attested documents will be duly accepted.

4. For work ex proof, copy of joining letter and latest salary slip will suffice. ( sending work ex proof is not mandatory at this stage , you will be required to produce it during GDPI )

5. Unattested photocopies are being accepted.

Why NITIE has extended the last date for applications ? Didn't they get enough applications ? And any idea on the average no.of applications NITIE receives each year ?

Do not worry because if courier service says that it has been delivered, your form would be surely with us. It takes sometime to update the website and hence you are seeing such message.
And even if a form reaches after a week, it is being duly accepted..so, do not worry... check t...

yes.. you can deposit the application fee in bank now.. get the challan signed by bank person and complete the entire process and send the form to us along with photocopy of relevant documents.

Hang on for a day or two. The site will get updated.
Send the self adhesive sickers with a letter mentioning your application number and cat registration number. If you have forget to send any other documents do send it with this.

Hello seniors,
I have a few querries,
1. I donot have a provisional certicate (currently I am a 7th sem student).
Can I send just the 6 semester marksheets only??
Our college donot provide any provisional certificate as such.
2. If it is necessary to produce the provisional certificate, may I know the format (Means what should I get written......)
Will a letter from our HOD suffice?
3. Regarding the final admission... what is the weightage to cat score and other parameters??
4. What are the monthly hostel charges and is there any availability of loan?
5. Can I get any mentorship from any senior once I do get a call? I seriously want to get in NITIE(didnot even apply for MDI and other colleges).
This is the only college I will be applying(Only CAT for me )

1. No need for you to send provisional certificate

only marksheets till latest sem will do :)
2. After the calls are out, all those getting calls are on same level... there have been people with cat score near the cutoff converting calls and people with very high scores not able to convert. In short, all depends on how you perform in GDPI once you get the call.
3. Hostel charges are included in your fees which you deposit annually. Loans are arranged for all incoming batches and all those interested can leverage the facility. You need not go anywhere as bank personnel come in campus itself to complete the formalities.
4. As soon as shortlist is out, all the candidates are alloted mentors who will guide you throughout the GDPI process and even once you join the college

1. No Probs send in the documents you have with a letter saying you are in your final sem and would submit it as soon as you get it. At the time of admissions you may require to sign an under taking(Which u will get to know later)

You will need the bank receipts...
You can otherwise approach the bank again to get a duplicate payment receipt. If you don't find yours try approaching the bank and see if they can give you one.

Blank adhesive stickers are not available in stationery shops situated nearby my home. Will it be ok if i take a cutout of specified dimensions from a white page, write my address on it and send it alongwith the form ?

Since the dimensions of the envelope are not specified, i suppose we can send the the required documents in an envelope of any size. Isnt it ?

yes, you can send in envelope of any size and instead of taking cutouts, i will suggest to send 4 small self addressed envelopes instead of stickers, they will work as well :)

no.. it is not mandatory as of now... but you will be required to show the proof at time of GDPI.

I submitted my form online today, and in the print-out, the check list mentions documents that need to be posted along with the form, however the checklist doesn't have Work-ex proof, as a requirement.

Can u confirm that we don't need to send that now, because I remember the instructions on the first page of online form submission stating the need for it.

Yeah...its not mentioned in the check list regarding work-ex document however as I red somewhere earlier in this thread, I attached a copy (un-attested) of my offer letter which mentioned joining date and my latest available payslip with the form. Also I wrote total workex on top of the the copy
