I heard from the seniors that NITIE follows a ONE job policy. Once you accept the job offer from a company, you can not sit for other companies.

AFAIK it is done to maintain good relationship with the companies so that they become regular visitors at the campus and there is a "trust" factor. :)
The company invests good amount if time & money to recruit the right suitable candidate and if, even after accepting the offer, he/she does not join, it may create negative impression about the institute.

But I think everyone is open to choose the company he opts to sit for placements and skip the once he doesn't 'like'. So it should be a matter of concern. I'm sure nobody is going to force us in any way whatsoever.

P.S.: this is my perception, seniors can confirm!!!

AFAIK from the PPT and QA sessions before the GD/PI process is that they take a priority list from the students. if a student gets a offer then he can only go for higher priority companies of his list. if one gets the most desired offer he/she cannot sit.

If am right...I would request you to wait till say 8 or 9pm every day for updates. Many candidates (like me) would be working and will most probably not have access to googledocs (blocked as per company policy meh !!).

I myself got access to the tracker y'day, but I can't update it for now. Will be updating the status by tonight. I am sure there would be more cases like me...

So hold on bro... :)

I called up the admissions office and the concerned person said that the stamp paper value can be Rs 50. Just in case Rs. 50 Denomination is unavailable then Rs. 100 will do (Now-a-days getting Rs 50 stamp paper is difficult).

Hi I know it is pointless to speculate.
But still can't help feeling a bit jittery. I am waitlisted at 90 in PGDIM in general category.

I know that last 2 years that waitlist has always cleared till 100 (118 last year and 173 the year before)


But this significant drop in waitlist from 173 to 118 is making me nervous.

This year CAT has turned a bit farcical with a lot of weightage on acads. So was everything this like this last year also or only this year it has become like this??


i.e. overemphasis on acads.

Becoz it might impact the movement significantly.

Also K & I which used to give calls till 98% tile last year have really made everything topsy turvy.

So my question is more related to CAT criteria than NITIE list. was it like this last year also??

I won't be able to send my DD before wednesday (from delhi). I wanted to know if the authorities will be receiving the mails on (Good) friday and over the weekend.
The timing is driving me a little paranoid!:drinking:

you have to send it by 25 apr for sure ... you can use the courier service for the same instead of speed post. Your dd would be received by the office even on good friday , just use the courier serive and that shall serve your purpose

acceptance letter is there in the offer letter.... in case you have not received offer letter yet, send dd along with a covering letter that you accept the admission offer.

yes, in case you withdraw before the session begins ( which means your seat would get filled by some waitlisted candidate ) , only 1k would be cut and rest amount refunded.

1) Could we get similar kind of stats for PGPIM only??
i.e. percentage-wise break-up of finance, sales&Marketing;, SCM&Ops;, Consulting, IT etc profiles
2) Lowest and Median salaries aren't mentioned..Can someone let us know about those

P.S: since the placement report is out (although as an article), I guess it would be easier to get these info
