With the end of the season and admissions , this thread has solved its purpose.

We thank you all for appreciating our efforts throughout the season in resolving your queries.

Many of you are here in campus with us and enjoying the life at NITIE.

For others, am sure you have better things in store for you and wish that you do well in in other b-schools where you joined this season / job / preparation for other season. Wish success in all future endeavors to one and all who were the part of this thread in any form.

I am converted the WL on 7th.
I am not able to reach by 14th.
Is it sufficient to confirm my seat if i am send the DD of Rs. 2.66 L ?
I will submit my original documents when i reach NITIE.
Should i sent photocopies of my documents with the DD.

I submitted the DD on 7th and show my docs on 8th.

They are flexible enough for that! Very cooperative, just make sure to tell them your situation in good way

Can smone tell me what is the movement in ITM?

There is only one movement for the ITM course under the general category. There is no movement for any other category for the ITM course.

CAT 2008. Did not appear. NITIE w/l cleared till 176(approx)
CAT 2009. Called for interview. w/l at 146. NITIE w/l cleared till 130(approx)
CAT 2010. Not shortlisted for interview. NITIE w/l cleared till 164.

I need that bit of luck to get into NITIE. 2011 is THE year I hope.

sir what time will courier take to reach to us.i need to apply for loan n it wont be possible till i have the admission letter.
also the bank will give me loan if the college email's to bank that i am selected in nitie. will it be possible?
i call'd in admission office but no one is picking the phone.i guess its holiday today....

This is the last waitlist and no more admits would be there as per the note on the list which has been put up on website.

All those who have cleared in this waitlist are required to submit the fee and report in the campus latest by 14 July, 2011.

You can submit the DD and then go back to the company to complete the notice period and join college for classes after that



please call admission office to know the same. There are chances for the same but we cannot tell you with surity as we dont have information in this respect as of now.

I have 40 months of work experience.

You can submit the DD , complete admission formalities in campus , inform in academic dept. and then go back to the company to complete the notice period and join college for classes again after that

There is an option of buy out your notice period in every company. No one can stop you. Talk to your HR

1. Yes, it is mandatory to submit the DD by 7 july . Anyone can submit on your behalf. You can join the college on monday.

2. No, only DD is must by 7th ... rest can be done at the time of reporting when you come.

Yes SBI is ok

Medical form is mandatory. It's not a lengthy process, I got mine done in under an hour (get the hint ;)). Advisable to get it done from your home town where you know doctors around ;)



This year very few people with 0 months work-ex joined NITIE in the IM batch (as far as those who already joined are concerned). But there are many freshers in our senior batch.
You can see the average package on the NITIE website, rest is up to you and how much value addition you do in yourself.
Freshers are not at a disadvantage as far as the package is concerned. Freshers have their own advantage of being empty slates which is preferred by many companies.
If you could write and crack CAT in English, then of course you would have no problems as far as the academics is concerned. Still, if you think that your communication skills need improvement, then it is up to you to improve on it :-P

Any bank's dd would do.
