Firstly, what a feeling it is to get the IIM-call and then convert it...really, no words can truly express the moment...
Now, i have a few worries....seniors ... can u pls advise...
1. I am from ICSE board, and have submitted the class X and XII marks as best of 5 and best of 4 (English compulsory) respectively. This is how the merit list of the board is drawn up, and I have my class X felicitation certificate to prove the point...but still, will this be a problem? My friend studying in one of the IIMs (converted last year) had done the same, and he had no issues with this...but dunno if the check varies from one IIM to another.
2. Is it mandatory to join the prep course? If it's end of May - it will be mighty difficult for me to get out of my job by then...As of now, my release date from the company is 25th June (manageable till 18th June)...
3. I am taking a sabbatical...not resigning...will this in anyway hamper my placement options? There is no bond or any such thing that I have to come back to my current company...I can resign even after completing my degree if I get a better offer elsewhere...but if I wish to come back, I can...
Thanks in advance...
P.S - Congrats to all who took one step closer to realising their dream today...
P.P.S - To all those who narrowly missed out in the final round, as they say, life has something better in store for you - I was sad last year for not converting SIBM - P, and this year I got this!!! God is great...just keep the faith...
