few days back got a mail from IIM-I statin tat i got admission n ive to send dd for 1lakh within june24th...ive a few doubts..
1) im in iim-t now classes begin tom how much would they refund (ive paid 1.75lak there)
2) im 4m tamilnadu there is no courier here which wud deliver to iim-i in 2 r 3days

Regarding the refund u will have to talk to the IIM T admin office..only they ca answer this..as for the courier use DTDC.. they deliver to indore..do send the dd latest by 22nd..

do i have a chance of selection in IIM I if i secure 100 percentile in CAT
with 65 % in 10th , 55 % in 12th ,58% in grads and 5 yr work ex in marketing.

I have a unique query. I am relieved from my Job yesterday itself. I got the relieving letter for immediate use from my employer, but they did not give me any formal experience letter. They told that experience letter will come after your final settlement is done. Will relieving letter from employer will do in registration process. I have my joining letter also with me.
Any reply from any senior will be of great help.

I am not a senior, but I can assure you, your case in not unique at all. In fact most of the workex guys wud not be able to get their experience certificate during or before registration. So relieving letter would be more than enough for registration.:)

I have a unique querry regarding the NBFC financial aid form...
Earning members in my family are my dad and my married brother.
My dad had annual salary of around 2.0 lakhs and he is a govt employee with all the proofs for the same..
The problem is with my brother . He did part time diploma in mech engg along with work and worked in gulf on contractual basis in 2009. He got married this year and is now settled in india... We don,t have any proof regarding his work in 2009 as it was contractual .he now(in 2010) works in a private company in india ,again on contractual basis and has less than 1.0 lakhs salary.. he doesn,t pay income tax and does not have form 16..
as per the NBFA form ,To include him as an earning member we need to submit form 16 which we can,t get for him.( contract job with less salary) ..
we can get a certificate from his employer and his bank statements ...
so without much proof of his income in 2009-2010 AND without form 16 what shud i do while including him as a earning member.

Enclose employer's certi and photocopies of bank statements. Even in the worst case scenario, your family income stands at 3 lakhs and hence you should get the scholarship.

I am also confused about the loan requirements..I would prefer to go there and then apply for the loan after clarifying all the doubts...I can't afford to do any mistake in haste in loan application form..
I will make the DD of 1,15,000 myself and will pay the initial amount and then apply for the loan...But i think even if we apply for 12.7L loan we will get as much we require less than 12.7L...it suggests ur maximum sanctioned loan amount and after that u can take any amount as a loan less than that..

@sanjiv: since u haven't got any scholarship as of now u don hv to mention tht in loan form. And since you havent granted loan you don't have to mention about loan in NBFA form. Loan granting is a process and bank doesnt care what all scholarship u get after they approve the loan. And the amount "granted" need not be the amount you take for the actual loan. Bank has provisioned u to take a max. of X amount. You can take any amount <=X, on need basis

A minor observation: in spite of no bulk deal info still from SAC, apparently lots of people have sent in their documents to SBI... So if SAC actually does come up with a deal, and if thats with some other bank, how many people will actually switch, and will it remain a 'bulk' deal?

in the loan application form, what do they mean when they say "insurance premium for duration of loan and start-up period"??

Also in addition : in the NBFA form it is mentioned that
A=full amount needed
B=your sources of income (this includes the loan also : this part is confusing , i mean , we should take loan after we know how much relaxation we have got in the Fee, how do we know the exact amount of waiver that we would get )
because normally a person would apply for that amount of the loan whatever remains after the fee waiver by IIM authoritites).

I have following queries, regarding NBFA form. Plz help me n others in clearing them:

Estimation of Expenses:
1) Do guys travel to their hometown only? Travelling to other B-schools for competition n all must be beared by the student himself. So that should also be counted, I suppose. So, can nay senior tell me..how much can they be?
2) What can be the other living expenses there? I think they all comes under maintenance?

3) Do we need to quote our savings (cash) correctly?

4) In Part-I Sec-12, whats this "loan outstanding". Is it "premium outstanding" ?

5) In Part-II, 1(e):: Annual income means CTC? Same in Part-III sec-3. If some one's income has varied over the year, because of appraisal then? And for Annual Income for FY 2010-11, if someone has worked for 2 months, then what should be filled...inhand or what?

6) In Part-III Sec-5, what should be filled in Expected income from Savings in savings bank account? and same in case of ULIP?

I need a help!!! The medical certificate format says to get it done by a civil surgeon/ asst civil surgeon/ medical officer. Does this mean i have to get it only from a government doctor? Please confirm.

My family doctor was a government doctor but left it and running private hospital for more than 10 years now.

Please let me know ASAP.

They have asked for designated civil surgeon, medical officer or assistant medical officer... You should perhaps check with your family doc whether he is one of these... Else, you can walk into any govt hospital and get the med certificate...
