PGDM DSF is a new course which is why it makes students think twice to take it up. but let me assure u as long its finance u are safe at IFMR. don ever worry abt education and future part. u are in safe hands!

i meant i was lucky in the sense that i got the call today itself.. or else i would have waited. dude noone would give calls to someone who are not even in waitlist if he thinks ppl from waitlist won't make it to course. common sense

What the heck, they should have called the waitlisted guys first.... What if we are not able to come through PGDM? It would have been good to have a DSF option and now that too is gone!!! Y did they put me in the waitlist initially? Lost everything!!!

this was the first intimation from ifmr after my gd/pi. i have no idea whether i was wait listed for the pgdm course or not.. when i called ifmr once, he said i was not selected for pgdm.

don worry man they have just forwarded u the mail which they sent to ppl earlier just with change of date as long as ur 75 k reaches them by 15 th may u r fine!

As you may know the full capacity of 60 seats in PGDM general is filled up. Hence it is our suggestion that you may choose the option of PGDM in Development & Sustainable Finance (PGDM-DSF) wherein a few seats are available. Please note that this is a hardcore finance program which trains you in application of finance both in the corporate as well as the development sector, which is a skill set required for operating in the emerging markets like India. The course will prepare you to be placed in organizations like commercial & development banks , infrastructure development companies like IL & FS, besides the corporate sector. You will be given the option to choose the sector depending on your career choice. Besides major courses in finance, you will be exposed to the issues in application of finance to the development sector like public private partnership contract. You will also have an opportunity to work closely with the IFMR Trust which is engaged in application of finance to the development sector and other research centres @ IFMR.

Please note that the total course fee payable is Rs.10,00,000/-. Your confirmation regarding the above should reach us by e-mail on or before May 7, 2010. My wait-list number is 38. I am keen to join IFMR. I m also waitlisted in TAPMI and IMT-n (which I wont be joining for sure).

They rang me up on the landline, so there is no way for me to know the number. Anyway they just asked if I'm interested in joining and I told them yeah most probably. They said "Most probably" wasn't good enough, so I told them 99% probably, to which he said even 99.9% is not good enough. So I repeated the "probably" line, and then he asked me to confirm my mailing address and said he's couriering it.

So I don't think its a big deal if you've missed the call, unless you've changed your mailing address after filling the form.

just called up the office and gave my confirmation!!! yippie,. btw when i asked about till how many number the waitlist is cleared got a very diplomatic answer that "we cannot tell u that"
