what is this??? nobody seems to be interested in the nirma results? is nirma off the list for you guys out there?

out of all the threads this is the dullest thread i have seen
no movement at all
just 3-4 post in a day and that too when the results are on the verge.
i think all the candidates are either selected somewhere else or are not interested in IMNU at all.
i seriously wish that happens, am being rejected/waitlisted everywhere i am applied...

puys at least give a chance to some of the freaks to shout here for spamming.

nirma batch of 08 will be having their convocation on th 31st (thats tomorrow)
the results will be declared within a couple of days after the convocation...

The avg salary for 2007 batch was 6.73. The avg salary for 2008 batch is 7. I've posted a query in the admissions thread abt why thr is such a low increase when other institutes are registering around 20 % growth. Haven't got an answer as of yet.

gd at nirma was good.....but interview was really bad......already got rejected from mica and siib
what are my chances of converting....
last year uptill which number the wait list got cleared at nirma.......

But wudn't it be better if seniors pour in some stats!!?
Now that the GD/PIs are over, we are just doing our homework by asking bout the placement figures/profiles offered this year so that we can decide rightfully if and when the time comes.

our cases match to a great extent, even i scored 96%ile in CAT, rejected by IMI and BIMTECH, had a decent (decent, not extraordinary) interview at NIRMA, have decent acads, even i am a newbie at PG, am anxiously awaiting IMT (gd/pi at kj somaiya is pending)...

quite a coincidence!!!!

Nirma: i think people habing 96%ile stand a good chance of getting into nirma as 70% of the total weightage is alloted to CAT...
IMT: i dont know much about it, but am keeping my finger crossed for this one...

Now that the gd and interviews are over..i request nirma seniors to find
some time and go through the gdpi exp posts and to give suggetions and
comment on our performance where required.
I think that will help us understand where we stand..

hey gave my interview yesterday at nirma.........i have 95.78%...gd was good but pi was very bad......the weightages are 70%--cat score 10% gd and 20% pi.....

in economical options there is SHAHI PALACE near vastrapur lake which would be a 25-30 min ride to nirma...
if youre rich then there is PRIDE hotel which is a 15-20 minute ride from NIRMA...
there are a lot of hotels near the railway station if you re coming by rail...

So, I am just a bit worried if the non-submission of CAT scorecard xerox can play my chances down!
Please let me know what should I do... should I call NIRMA office and tell them my situation??

well that was my interview. I guess i performed well in GD and kept my cool under stress. I have only 91.03 %le and no work-es. What are my chances seniors?

i m having d call on 5th at nirma,, plz tell me how to reach the campus from Ahmedabad Junction,, n how much time it will take,, i m having 3pm batch...:D

Nirma is abt 20-25 km frm Railway Station...Auto will take abt 40-45 mins..
Auto walah wud ask u anything frm 150-250, but pay him only 100-140..
For 3pm reach here by 2:30

any idea what will be the difference between 91%le and 96%le. 70% of the marks are given to CAT %le according to brochure

hey i am back from GD Pi process. it really was a chilling process. Specially because of the stress interview i faced. It really was a stress interview. only 1 question and 15 minutes:crazyeye:

it started sharp at 9.30 am. First was gd and the rules was exactly same as described. topic was
" should India host Olympic games"
i confess that i performed well. Most of the people was not practical and out of focus. One tips. make sure u utilize the first 1 and last 30 seconds well and try to make first and last interview well.

Next came interview. I was the first to be interviewed. the questions were as folllows
1> u r a fresher. why MBA?
2> go and do a job. why here?
3> cool. u have got a job in CTS. then go and work there
4> who said u will not get time. work there for 2 years and then come back
5> u will not understand any topic without work-ex
6> great. u r the band manager of " safire". then u know everything about event management. why here?
7> we will not teach event management
8> i still believe u go and work
9> all the B schools abroad needs work-ex. i agree with them.
10> this year we will take only work-ex people.

tell me what will i reply against their arrogance. i tried everything. but they were arrogant and wanted to give me stress.

next came the worst part. GK
1> name few good B school from Abroad
2> where is Harvard? where is Stanford? ( i dont know!!!!!)
3> who is Maheswata devi
4> what prize she has got? ( i dont know!!!!!!!!!!)
