Organic cotton! - 15-06-2009, 03:05 PM

Hi All,

Did you know that the everyday wear cotton is harmful to the environment due to the unhealthy way it is cultivated? Cotton uses a lot of water and pesticides and after a while leaches the ground on which it was grown. The farmer simply leaves the patch of land and moves to the other land; thus decreasing the amount of fertile land on the earth.

Solution: Organic Cotton. This is everything that cotton is not. It is the healthy way to wear Cotton!

Please visit indigreen.co.in to buy organic cotton tees and other accessories.
Also please ask for organic cotton when you go shopping next. It will increase the demand and thus the supply (will also reduce the price of the organic cotton clothes in India)

Thanks!!

Lets all pledge to save the environment!

Thx for the Information Wengi,

It will be great help, If you or somebody can enlighten us on how to differentiate between the two types of cotton, if at all we can do it will be super. Are there any certifications, standards for this?

Thanks for the suggestion of using the search option, would follow it <for sure!> in the future.
I did not have this information on the 5th of June else would have definitely posted it on http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/touchi...-day-tomm.html (World Environment Day Tomm)

Kinda do not believe in 'days' to discuss issues!

Cheers!
