Delhi Community Service thread

With so many cities so eagerly out to make this world a better place in one single forum thread , confusion needs to be diffused! So here is New Delhi's very own Payback Time thread .

Being in the capital of the country, there's a lot of potential for us to make use of. For one, most NGO's in North India are based in Delhi, our city being the natural hub for all powerplay.. and for two, we have a very enthusiastic bunch of PG-ites here . Many of us would be moving out for Bschools.. so we just have enough time to get something going.

Hi..Apurv and everyone else too.
I have an admission to the MDI HR course, and will be joining that in July. However, I shall be in Delhi for about four days from May 6 to May 10, and would like to meet up with one/ some of you to know what happened in the May 1 meet.
A brief on me : am a homeo doc, and I have been involved with Polio drives and awareness programmes here and there. I also suggest that we dont stop only at AIDS awareness, would make a lot more sense to educate these people about family planning and stuff on those lines. Child health and hygiene are other issues.

Free medical checkups for old/ children/ women is also an idea. Since I am a homeo, I think I can manage some sponsorship or something (can atleast give it a shot) and try and treat some of these people in the slums. I suggest homeo coz its far cheaper and cost effective as well.
