You won't need anyone's permission to post on this thread/forum to ask for assistance/share ideas/ reach out to volunteers etc.

I would visit Dhriti's Lajpat Nagar office one of these weekends as Udayan's office is also in Lajpat Nagar.
I am sure i m promoting it.......(dont ban me..)
But when a community like pagal guy associate with it officially....
it is something like an ISO certification for us... he he
Who wudnt be exicted when dhriiti also wud feature in the list of NGOs Pagalguy is associated with.
Anyway i didnt pmed allwyn...
I asked one of dhriiti's director to put a request to pagalguy to let dhriiti associate with PG

U are most welcome vipin. Though this saturday i wont be there at office.
jus make a call and confirm b4 coming. They are going to thier project site at assam it seems..

Even if I could, I wouldn't ever ban anyone, with a genuine interest in community service, from posting on this thread On Sat, I have a few things planned including editing the documentary film which we made during a workshop conducted by Center for Civil Society(www.ccsindia.org) at IIMC.

On Sunday, I would probably be busy cooling down my sore leg muscles after the 12th Feb Marathon( I am running half marathon)..I would call the office sometime next week or in the future.

Btw, for those of you who are interested in running for the marathon, please register before 9th Feb and you can pay online(http://www.delhimarathon.com).

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Seems quite a lot of marathons r going on these days...

The site says we hv to go a day or two b4 to collect our badges... Is there any way I can avoid going there before the marathon date..... Will just hv to waste half a day for collecting that...

HI Guys,

The one I used to visit is Shelter Home for girls in tuglakabad and Day care for boys from slums.

You can volunteer as a teacher there or sponsor some kids education, health..in case u earnin..

That is really good to know Sonika. Some of the PG members also tried volunteering with Prayas before I joined PG but they had some bad experiences. However, it does not mean that the new people would also face any trouble. Just wanted to give some background info.

@Anoop - Have you registered already? Gimme a call if you have. Let us know what Marathon are you running..It could inspire a few people

@Kaalki- It shouldn't take half a day to collect your badge. I think some of the marathon organizers also allow someone else to collect on your behalf if you can give a Letter of Authority and your ID for a proof of identity. Don't all good things in life cause some hardships before they actually happen?

@Albatross - We look forward to your company whenever you are free. As of now, Udayan really needs volunteers who can coach students in grades 7-10 for their final exams(esp. Maths). Can you spread the word wherever you can ? I know you are pretty well connected
