No one can access your mental processing by making a moronic site with a couple of javascript tricks thrown in. Fathoming the details of the human psyche is a far more complex process involving a lot of parameters which cannot be accurately measured even through advanced scientific process.

In anycase, improving reading speed does not have a linear relationship with the conventional definiton of cognitive skills. So do not worry about all this gobbledegook.

Dont you think this thread is under wrong section.
This section is QA
Of course it too involves mind processing

I really dont kno if i've the authority to comment on something i m not so good at.
but it is quiet evident that we share the the prob i've worked on it a lot and here r a few tips from my experience:
1-if the passage is really tough then try and visualize(make a movie in yr brn) as u read
2-if u feel like scanning then make sure u miss no word even though u may not comprehend it in your brain
3-if possible involve yourself
4-try and reads with a purpose not just for the sake of reading
5-read newspapers and read them really fast even if u cant but still read it fast slowly u're brain will catch up with yr eyes.
5-if nothing works out then consider it a genetic weakness and count as your weakness -u kno that's very imp as well -to kno yr wknsses.

Madhavi, the problem that came out in your test was very specific : mind processing speed was slow.

The processing speed of the brain can definitely be improved by using tried and tested methods. A consequence of this would be an automatic improvement in your reading speed.

Here is a very nice article which I received in my inbox (from my subscription of the IQ Test Labs newsletter)

Study: Reinforcing memory

It is possible to adopt behaviors that will increase memory performance at any level of current achievement. Here are some techniques that will sharpen your memory.
- Discover new facts and latest developments about topics that interest you. Find other people who are interested in the same area and share opinions and views.

- Find new and original ways to accomplish everyday tasks. In every learning process new regions of the brain are activated and reinforced. For example you can try brushing your teeth or buttoning your clothes with your other hand. You can also change your writing style or dress with your eyes closed.

- Books, seminars and documentaries are all significant educational resources that can have beneficial results. Board games such as chess can also help you maintain your brain's potential.

- Physical activity is also very important. Older people who walk at least 30 minutes a day usually have better long term memory recall and greater concentration.

- Certain foods contribute more than others towards the neural circuitry responsible for memory. The main characteristics of these foods is that they are content rich in antioxidants and vitamins.

Broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, lettuce
Salmon, sardines
Fruit and fruit juice, berries
Olive oil

Hope this is of help to you!!

Another way of improving the mind processing skill would be to try and improve two things:
  1. Your IQ: Your IQ is partly a measure of your processing speed. Try improving it by reading books. Try the tests on INTERNATIONAL HIGH IQ SOCIETY
  2. Improving your memory and retention capabilities: Try getting hold of a copy of a book on Memory Techniques by Harry Loraine and Jerry Lucas. I have read the bookin the past, and it is simply amazing..
