Some interesting problems to solve... - 25-02-2008, 10:02 PM

Can anyone please solve the following questions:

i) A player rolls a die and receives the same the number of rupees as the number of dots on the face that turns up.What should the player pay for each roll if he wants to make a profit of one rupee per throw of the die in the long run?
a) Rs.2.50 b) Rs.2 c) Rs.3.50 d) Rs.4

ii) A can is full of paint. Out of this 5l are removed and a thinning liquid substituted. The process is repeated. Now the ratio of paint to thinner is 49:15. What is the full capacity of the can?
a) 20l b) 60l c) 40l d) 50l

Thanks, in advance, for your help.....
