1/A1A2 makes no sense??
it means the reciprocal of the length of side A1A2. whats wrong there??
This is a very popular problem. Everyone here who has passed class 12 must have solved this .

let me make it more clear
if A and B are vertices of a triangle
what does AB mean?

here is my approach-
lcm of 2,3,4,.......16 is 2^4*3^2*5*7*11*13
so the number is (2^4*3^2*5*7*11*13)k+1=17m

2^4*3^2*5*7*11*13 wen divided by 17 gives 5 as the remainder, so k is 10
so the number is 2^5*3^2*5^2*7*11*13 +1=7207201
naah it is much smaller than that

sorry to all...
It was me who misunderstood the question..

I didn't check the question properly..
as i got the answers as male=80 and female=175
and these answers satisfies the question..so i thought it would me right...

But the correct approach is given by r_abhinav..
Those answers are correct..

once again sorry for all the confusions..
Cheers,
Sidh..

sorry for all the confusions that arised because of me...
It was me who misunderstood the question..

I wrongly interpreted the question as f-15=2m..
But ur approach was correct i.e. m=2(f-15)
As i got the answers as m=80 and f=175 which satisfied the question..
I didn't recheck my work..

The approach given by r_abhinav is correct...This is the way the problem can be understood and it should be proceeded...Thanks to u all as u rightly pointed out my mistake..

sorry once agin..

ans : Rs 100

Thanks!
% profit on CP :
CP = 3000*100/120=2500. Profit = 3000-2500 = 500

% profit on SP:
profit = 20/100*3000 = 600

diff in profits = 100
