hi people from Surat!!

Today i read the newspaper and got PT Surat rocking with 16 out of 19 iim conversions...

Any one ofrom Surat or from PT Surat.. can you tell me whether should i join the same or not?

or it is just that students were good, reallly inst is doing hard enough to prepare the students?


also heard that the surat head had cracked the CAT 3 times in a row and everytime he is declining the IIM Offer...

please inform me...

me too working in Essar and looking for gud coaching in surat, going on saturday with a friend whos already enrolled therefor the first time to confirm.

but the feed back abt "Futurism" is good.

This is my opinion. I personally feel that u hardly have ne option in Surat. Also, PT is a real good one in d city. Especially d faculty. I have seen them working like nething wid the students, The attention given is simply Wow. Now first level of prep for written also depends a whole lot on u. If u r serious, they will be dead serious n make sure that u get all help that u want.

Oh yes, that's true that the PT head has been getting final calls n declining the offers. Well, he is real good. So, u can expect good coaching experience. Also u have REC Surat junta. So a whole good lot to compete against.

PS: This is strictly my opinion. No kinda advertising for the institute. These are just the bare facts, that I have witnessed myself. Rest all depends on your discretion. All ur choice.

Well ppl ...
In choosing a insititute few things must be taken into consideration...
1)Quality of the faculties...
2)Ur peer students...It is good to have a quality group....
3)abt PT conversions dont want to comment...
4)The facilities at the classes.....

This is wat i think while going for a coaching class....
BTW second PT thread in two days......

With due respect, mods, this is completely unfair. M unable to understand why after every mail mentioning something good abt a class, u have to post, to be beware of advertising. Arre yaar, we are democratic junta of democratic nation.
Nobody is promoting ne class. I have talked to so many people who feel that had they not joined so n so class they wud have been in a better position to face CAT. By mentioning abt a class, we express what we think is correct. Rest all is at individual's discretion to go or not go to a class. Think of d people in places like surat, where u have hardly ne choices. These kinda views help a lot.

Ramesh_Parmar, This is the LAST warning that you wud get from any mod. Any more attempts at "promoting" would result in an outright ban !!

SDA, Yes, true indeed. giving your opinion is different from blatant promotion !! I hope you can see through the difference. Our ONLY concern is that some n00b should not get swayed by seeing a one-off post by someone praising an institute to the skies !! And in case you observe, most of these ppl promoting any institute have been single-post wonders !!! Hope I've made myself clear....Feel free to give your opinion. At the same time, feel freer to let us know if you feel the forum is being misused

As I have alwasy said, NOTHING can be PERFECT!!

Sheena, if you wish you can go to PG-The Baroda Chapter therad and you would find a lot of discussion on classes.

But one thing that everyone wud agree with is,

you must do some research on following thigs:

1. Are they quoting facts? (go to PT and ask them to give u 16 names and 19 names too. If you can, dare to ask few ph nos. I know the fact n so telling ya!! Rest will be ur own decision )

2. Kind of faculties they have? Really well informed? I don't know bout PT, but since I was told by my frnd at IMS, the one who is running the centre is, at least, capable one!! u can go and ask his credential n judge him. U can also do the same at few more reputable insti like CL or TIME. So, at least I don't see any reason to outrightly declare PT as the best insti.

3. Also, Tests and AIR (All India Ranking matters a lot)..so check the quality of each and make ur own decision...I personally feel IMS and CL are the best (I feel IMS has a slightly higher ranking coz of lotsa IITins joining n we are competeting with them in AIR )


You can take into consideration a lot more factors n judge urself considering ur strengths n weakenss!

Of course this was not to say PT is worst but just to balance the view and exhort u to make ur own decision.
