Hi puys!
The importance of general knowledge section in various premier B school entrance exams like IIFT,SNAP,NMAT(Though Narsee Monjee decided to do away with GK for 2007 what it's going to be this year is anybody's guess) cannot be overemphasized.In other words,it can MAKE or BREAK one's chances of cracking these exams.Of lately,it has dawned upon me that for people like me who are late bloomers and who have this uncanny knack of procrastinating things it won't be a very bright idea to neglect this aspect till the very eleventh hour because GK isn't something which can be crammed up in a short period.It is something that has to be GRADUALLY BUILT ON.
To cut the long story short,i request the moderators to make this thread official and at the same time i expect puys to start pouring in with their useful posts and ideas

due to number of pages and spam it becomes difficult to traverse the questions.. do one thing
after u feel there r sufficient number of questions are added.. copy them in a doc and upload it .. then just provide the shortcut of that post in ur first posts.. also provide shortcut of the posts where ppl upload something in a file. this way some late joiners wld jst have to go thru ur first post.

Let's get started with the GK section of IIFT 2006.Just to get a picture of the things,out of 100 questions in all 26 belonged to GK.Markswise,they added up to 22.10 marks against the maximum marks of 106.Each question (in GK) carried 0.85 marks.


The Following Questions May Have More Than Correct Answer.There Is No Negative Marking.Candidates Will Earn Specified Marks Alloted To Such Questions Only When All Correct Options Have Been Marked.
