tison gay is not right because he had a wind assist of 4m/s..
wind assist of anything > 2m/s is not accepted for a 100 m dash..

Ok so here goes my set of questions
1."On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit and you go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think, ok, this is the limit. As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you realise that you can suddenly go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and your experience as well, you can fly very high.”-Whose quote?
2.Approximately 300,000 extras were used in one scene of this movie, the most for any film according to Guinness World Records- Which movie?
3.X was invented in the 19th century as a powerful surgical antiseptic. It was later sold, in a distilled form, as a floor cleaner and a cure for gonorrhea. But it wasn't a runaway success until the 1920’s, when its advertising group came up with a new strategy and pitched it as a solution for “Chronic Halitosis”.-identify X
4.A few days after the US president George W Bush pledged $15 million for tsunami relief from the entire US govt., X came out and donated $10 million of his personal fortune for tsunami relief making him the single largest donor(from personal funds).
Simple, Identify X,..
and an absolute sitter to round off
5. Originally named Eldrick; he is one-quarter Chinese, one quarter Thai, one quarter African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch. He refers to his ethnic make-up as “Cablinasian” (a portmanteau term he coined from Caucasian, Black, American-Indian, and Asian). He is a Buddhist. He has said that his faith was acquired from his mother and that it helps control both his stubbornness and impatience.---Who??

don't call it a GK thread for Cat -
16-07-2008, 10:09 AM
i think this thread doesnt have any question which can come in Management entrance exams . First of all just to make clear only 2 exams have a GK sections!!
1. Snap
2. MFC
and both the exams have heavily loaded Economy/country/business related questions. not the inrticate types of questions being asked on forum. SO either change the forum name to A quizzin thread else put questions related to INdian politics, economy, business sports etc . with a proper mix from world happenings .
just remember, most of the question asked in these exams are heard by all some where or the other... so keep the thread alive with these kind of questions!!

Hi crazynaval,
Thats not the case exactly. We don't know what is covered in the snap, mfc, xat exam. We have no clue what questions they may ask. There is no particular boundary also for general awareness. So, I feel, the questions going here are good. Best part what I am seeing in these questions are, even if you dont know the answer, and do google, you get to learn some more things around the questions.

Deepak : Sir, just FYI. Nothing is better than Nonsense
I dont blog, but will do someday.
