Coaching classes for CAT ??

i am planning for cat-08 exam, which coaching institute should i go for. If its "Time" then which centre (Connaught Place,Kailash Colony,North Campus,Rajouri Garden, West Punjabi Bagh) in terms of faculty , student interaction, batch size, etc.

Or shall i opt for IMS CP centre.

Hello people,

I am Abhinav Srivastava and would be appearing for CAT this year. The problem with me is that I am studying in a residential univrsity and henceforth it is not possible for me to take some coaching classes for preparation of CAT.
Therefore if you people can help me and let me know any of the private tutors availible in or around Delhi, who donot charge exhorbitant amounts and most importantly are good and can help me out for three months, I would be extremely grateful.
I hope that you people would consider my cause and help me out at your earliest possible.

as far as coachin is concerned both IMS and TIME stand equally on the quality front.so u can opt for any1 of them.but during mock tests dont forget to take admission in TIME

i am final year computer science student from Bhilai institute of technology chhattisgarh
my 10 % =-80.4
12% = 63.8
and my graduation %age is 70.5
in cat 07 my percentile was 94.91 (va-89.80,reasoning 93.89 & quant 86.40)

i got calls from fore,tapmi,kj somaiya and nirma but was unable to convert any of them

i also have job offer from cognizant technology solutions whose joining dates are around end of nov

i am planning to appear once again for cat this year . as i am in an area where there are no good coaching institute for cat all i did was self study........

now i am planning to go to pune and study in some good institute there .....
can u suggest between IMS & TIME and give the address also cause there are 4 centers for TIME in pune

also i am planning to do NSE's Certification in Financial Markets cause i am intrested in finance.....will this certification help me to get into good b school ??

i m placed at tcs but have no idea about how late joining would come.....
i want to write cat this time...again.... with preparation...
so,i m searching for a good coaching institute at pune .....

which is better there TIME OR IMS........
also which center in pune is best...

hi,
see what i think is that coaching classes dont make that much difference unless u study urself. i was an IMS student last year and got 96 percentile. am sure other institutes also had 96 percentilers..
but ya if u want to play safe, i think IMS is a safe bet. I have taken it myself and i liked the materail as well as the faculty. and looks this year they are giving 16 SIMcats. so this should make it completely safe to take it at IMS.
dont know much abt the Pune scene, u wud rather talk to ur pune frends. but in bangalore all my frends seem to be more than happy with IMS.

I am also in a dilemma as if which institute to finalize.Am looking out for weekend batches and looking for centres in n arnd Camp/deccan.

I think in Pune Carrer forum and Time are good.Please advice as I have to take the decision within this week.

also please let me know if any of the inst give dicounts.

Don't have much idea about Career forum, but some of my close friends have been to TIME and what I have heard from then is not positive.

The think they disliked most was that staff at TIME ( even the faculty members) were not supportive, they just want to provide the classes and earn money.

Not even provided with the test series material as it was out of stock....
