You don't have them starting in July. Only in September-October.

Hey guys..This is Saanidhya..currently persuing MBA from IMT ghaziabad..
Well talking abt coaching classes, i think they hold a lot of importance and do help u majorly in ur preparations..my experience says that CAT is a battle and to fight it out successfully, one shudnt leave any stone unturned..so guys dont hesitate joinin coaching classes..i genuinely feel they help u prepare better..

Coming on to the best coaching class..well, i prepared from PUNE. and can tell u that in pune the best coaching class for CAT is "BAKLIWAL TUTORIALS" without a shadow of a doubt. They are best known for delivering quality personal attention. I, myself, owe my entire success to them. The direcrtor of the institute, Mr.Gaurav Bakliwal, is a gem of a person..We(my group of frnds) used to go to his house at 12 midnight and used to solve a mock test with him..Thats personal attention for u Guys !! and beleive me, he never hesitated such awkward timings..Then after the test we used to do the analysis together too..Immense learning guys !! Trust Me !!

It is far worth than all these big names who promise a lot but deliver a litttle..

So all u guys heading to pune for ur preparations, Trust me just close ur eyes n blindly join BT..They are the ultimate best out there !!

If u need any kinda assistance from me, Plz dont hesitate to mail me at sanidhya.jhawar@gmail.com..I would be more than willin to help u guys out !!

All the best then..give ur best shot !!

Cheers !!

TIME didn't offer the correspondence course until last year.
I heard that they are planning to offer it this year.

Hey Saanidhya... As much as we appreciate you appraising puys of this institute, be careful to stick to the rules.
Sharing email ids is NOT allowed on the forum. So, kindly edit your post.

As for people who are confused as to which institute to join, the best option is to actually visit the centre of each coaching centre you intend to join. Interact with the faculty and the centre manager, and get a feel of the environment and the junta. Get hold of a few mock papers to compare the institutes. I, being a regular CAT taker (2K6 would be my third attempt), have gone through the same. I feel all the institutes are more or less the same. In the end, it comes down to how hard you can work to supplement the institute's efforts.

yes, please take care of that. The reason why such a norm is there, is so that others dont spam ur email address, since this is a public forum and everyone on www would have access to it. You should contact others through PM only.

Re: Coaching classes for CAT ?? In Pune - 14-05-2006, 10:51 PM

Hello Guys, i too was in a bit of a quandry about a couple of months back, when i was contemplating whether to join any classroom course for CAT-06. I had been a student of one of the bigger classes a couple of years back, and had felt that these classes are run on a business basis these days, with faculty members changing by the month, (if not by the class); and very often there is no continued continuity in the teaching inputs although the course is structured very well..what i felt i needed was someone, a mentor who would be easily approachable for all my queries with regards CAT and who would continously monitoring your efforts, giving constructive feedback etc...

Then i learnt about BAKLIWAL TUTORIALS (BT) (http://www.bt-pune.blogspot.com) here in Pune. Out of curiosity i attended the first lecture, and belive me, that from there on all my opinions about the CAT training classes have changed...Mr Gaurav Bakliwal who is the founder of BT is such a self motivated person that his zeal and approach towards CAT in particular (@life in general ) is very positively infectious...He truly enthuses all around him to approach any problem with common sense logic...attending even a days session on Quant/DI conducted by him would actually leave you feeling satisfiued of having done something good that day...

Gaurav Sir specialises in putting across mind blowing short-cut methods (made like GHAR KA AACHAAR - as he puts it!) to any type of problems that one may encounter...

I could go on and on on the same....In short, if you are confused about your CAT prep, you now know where to go for help (ie apart from PG )

Cheers and All the Best !!
Manish
