TIME is better in the sense that it has more mocks and quantity of material

and IMS is better in the sense that atleast in north India, it has better competition and a gud grading system.,....no idea abt South....however

Whether it be TIMS, IMS, CL or any other... doesn't make much difference, bcoz they can only provide the basics and can't substitute the hard work. If one puts the requisite hard work, then, the choice of coaching institute doesn't matter!

hi puys,
this is urja..BE Elec.Currently working in Baroda..I appeared for CAT'05..But was badly bitten by the dreaded animal .Will face it head on this time around. :grab:
i have been an IMS student last year..This yr too planning to go for a classroom batch, probably ims only(i am quite comfortable with their teaching, material and faculty) mainly to maintain regularity ( with a job 2 hrs study per day also seems a dream..)..Its true tat classes dnt make a substantial difference,IF ur disciplined enough..But then when we're talking bout CAT where ppl miss golden chances by a whisker,so i personally wud like to leave no stone unturned..this is wat i knw bout all the classes---
IMS :Material wise-excellent,english(gr,math(decent),DI(ok),Simcats (gud)
CL :Material wise-very good,English(ok),math (gr,DI(gr,mocks(gud)
TIME:Material-Exhaustive ,Test series(Awesome)
PT : No comments

Re: Coaching classes for CAT ?? - 25-04-2006, 12:34 PM

another advantage of coaching classes is the competition that one faces...

atleast for me, it works this way only. when u r preparing, one may think that prep is on track and the performance is good but classes provide an opportunity to check if the picture is really rosy as it seems to be

havent heard of anything like that...but how is a crash course in prep gonna help u???

u may try opting for a correspondence program..that would be better and u can still visit the coaching institute incase of any doubts...

Guess who's back?
