hello guys.i just searched the other exams section and did not find a suitable thread for gk preparation.so i am strating one.i know its too early to do so and most of the aspirants are knee deep into their preparations for cat but still I'd request the mods to let this thread remain active..

the idea behind this thread is to discuss the type of gk questions asked in each entrance,posting links of sources where one can get a lot of gk questions and posting quiz files for download...since none of three above mentioned entrances allow candidates to take back the paper the various websites such as cl,ims and others in their analyses of the prev years exam cant give a proper idea as towhat type of questions are asked..so people who have taken the various entrance exmas once or more than once can help newbies by guiding them how to prepare for gk..

for starters i remember the GK section of NMAT 2007 had a few questions on Indian Civics..so i suggest knowing politics would help and so would reading anewspaper regularly because a few questions were on current affairs as well...

so guys contribute and make this thread helpful for all aspirants appearing for entrances which have a section on general awareness...

thank you for providing me with the link..i went through the thread and found that amidst questions from aspirants regarding timings and admission process at iift it is not solely a gk thread...so can you request junoonmba to start posting his questions here and provide the link of this thread to the iift thread regulars...

i will post the already posted questions with their answers over here also so that newbies can benifit from it...with junoon's permission of course

First of all a very decent name,Sounds very interesting ,So u must be very DASHING Hmmmmmmm..........

Actually I got ur concern .I just want to say that the iift prepration thread was not meant only for IIFT ,though the name suggest so.Actually it was started by somebody else and I was lookin for a thread for GK ,Like u started.

See We can move to this thread ,but my concern is that everybody @sid,getintoiimb,MG_1806 et al have to come here so it would would be good ,if you start posting on that thread.We can change the Name of the thread as GK thread and not IIFT but i think that hardly matters.All concerns realtyed to NMAT or SNAP will be answered there also.

The GK is same for every exam.So can you take pains to come on that thread or else we all have to come here.What say??Your contribution is required ,so please respond asap.

dude thanks for your response..
i will come wherever gk is being discussed..what i am saying is let the iift thread remain just for the seniors to answer our queries regarding iift and in this thread we can start with our gk discussions..you are doing a fab job in the iift thread..all you have to do is paste a link over in the iift thread and all will follow you to this thread..
with a name like ifft preparation the thread is not attracting many gk enthusiasts...nor do i think changing the name would help coz then the main aim of the thread which is helping iift people will be lost...
what i want is one common thread for any kind of gk preparation...and also questions from last years papers if possible from the memory of those who have writen various b school entrances over the year....

and yes my nick does mean dashing in french but m just the opposite....
