one such is to find the square of any no.
(also mentioned in fun with squares inthe above mentioned site)
eg.
42^2=
40^2=1600
+41*4=164(the no.between the two)
ans=1764and
48^2=
50^2=2500
-49*4=196
ans=2304
also 16^2=15^2+(15+16)

I have a little doubt in the expression.....
if suppose we have ax^2+3x+2 greater than equal to 0.
Then why do we take discriminatnt <0.
As this has real roots for equal to also........for which discriminant has to be greater than or equal to zero....
