Hi guys,

One of the first people to sail thr' GD process (as they call it!!!)

Good thing is that you get to know whether u got in or not in just 1 hr after GD.

Do not worry guys....It's a cool process.

You will be rejected only if YOU CAN NOT SPEAK AT ALL IN GD.

See, it is a different process this time. After you reach there you will be made to sit as per ur groups. They had 8 different panels from A to E and X to Z in Pune. Every group had 8-9 ppl in it.

You go to diff panels. May have ex army officials there.

We had a case study and a discussion abt some qualities of a good manager.

Acc to me what is important is "Group Dynamics" over here. U have to get the grp to a consensus. Those guys who were not ready to get to consensus were rejected. (At least in my grp)

No. of ppl selected differed grp to grp. All ppl can be selected,all can be rejected, too.

What you have to do is just be cool, natural and do not try to be oversmart. Show that you are considerate type of person, listen to all and CONSENSUS is the word they love, so try to do that in grp.

THEY HATE FISH MARKET. THEY TOLD THIS IN BEGINNING ONLY. THEY INTERUPTED WHEN OURS TURNED INTO ONE.

Another grp turned into FM and only 2 of 9 ppl were selected. Those were the ppl who spoke the least.

So key to success is just keep cooooooooooooooooooool!!!

Hi folks,

First of all, a lovely new look site!!! Congrats PG's!!! the most confusing thing that's happened with symbi is that they call their first round as group process...wherein it can imply anything from a normal gd, case study and its analysis, experimental group tasks and games!!! in most of the cases,prob more so in tasks and games the onus of one's rejection may not entirely lie on the individual himself....on the contrary a person may be rejected just because his group came up with a shoddy show!!! similarly trying to force one's point at the same time may cause the gd's to turn into a fish market...so a small bit of advice to ensure that deserving guys get selected is to play to ur strengths, not to get involved in a fish market and try to bring some decorum into the entire process...once we follow this process we make not only our tasks easier but also the examiner's too!!!

got selected for next round

our grp had a case study and a puzzle to solve..
puzzle we couldnt solve and they didnt tell the ans also

case study was about cosmetic firm shipping defective batch of cream. What should the company do when they come to know of it.

whole process was ok and 3 ppl got selected. I think they were looking how a person can handle situations and is active in the discussion...

as d gds hav already started n u guys hav started posting ur experiences...i m sure itll help others like me...THANK U ...hope all d PGites get thru....

hey..were they asking for d specilzation there b4 d GD?....n one very stupid query...were d girls wearing sarees....coz lots of ppl hav told me u gotta wear saree 4 d gds at scmhrd...n it scares me..
ppl...plz keep posting bout ur xperiences...

I think it is better to write in a language which is readable.

It would be great if you can avoid using such shortcuts.

well... they r not asking for specialisation at GD level....
U can wear anything u want but it should be formal... no jeans and t shirts..
dress decent and speak in ur GD
