Difference in syllabus patterns and extra toppings need to be added to preparation - 14-05-2008, 04:00 PM

We all know more than sufficient knowledge for CAT topics. But, need to consolidate the info for other exams. Things needed to know are:

Extra topics that are to be prepared other than prepared for CAT. Like IIFT has trigno but CAT doesn't has.

The info required is exhaustive. like, what extra care has to be taken.

What can be the topics for XLRI essays? how they have to be prepared?
Difference between FMS exams' topics' syllabi from CAT.
many of you may be having all this info but some still need it in more consolidated manner.
personnaly, i require info for the following:

1. WHat are the topics which are not important or absent in CAT but important in IIFT or comes in IIFT? Topics in Quant, VERBAL...
2. What is the difficulty level and competition level for FMS. How is it different in relation to topics and exam pattern?
3. I know, XLRI has essays. but what is their word limit? What can be the topics, please give some examples. And how the peers are preparing for it? please help me.

i know these info are available in various threads but some are still old. so, having the latest info in one consolidated thread will be of great help for many.
