Hi sunshine, to start with, your being different from the typical, IT applicant is not going to help matters beyond a limited extent.
In one way, all they want to see in the interview is if you can give them enough reasons to select you for the class (incidentally this was the first essay question of this year). They'll see if you match up to their view of what an outgoing ISB student should look like, talk like and act like. They also want to see if you are a confident go-getter, if you are clear about your career goals and if these goals are rational, and finally, if a course at ISB will really fit in with your career goals and overall aspirations.
There is another perspective I wanted to share- getting an interview call is easy with ISB- it's what you talk and how you talk at the interview that would really seal the matter.
Can you tell me more about yourself- why didn't you apply this year? And where did you work (in journalism)?
