i posted this question in official quant thread CAT2009 but no one was able to solve this question.
please help me out.
1) P is a set of four digit numbers(abcd) which satisfy the following conditions
i. a>b ii. c>b iii. c< a
a). if the numbers of the set P are arranged in ascending order, what is the sum of first and the last number of the set P.
I)11980 II)10801 III)10890 IV) 11890
b) How many numbers are there in set P?
i) 810 ii)828 ii)870 iv)884
c) How many numbers of set P have a digit appearing for more than once?
i)120 ii)240 iii)252 iv) 264
according to me first number of set P should be 2010 and last is 9789

N( a natural number)>1. A & B are single digit natural numbers such that A>B ORA=B. For any value of N , N*(A+B)^N & (A+B) have same unit Place digits. (A*B)^N & (A*B) also have same unit place digits. how many pairs of (A,B) satisfying above condition are possible ?
