Diff between PGDBM and MMS

hey pguys,
I m an MBA aspirant with no clear cut information abt any just a blurry information abt most of the things.. Any one who clears my doubts will be highly appriciated!
Here are some pts I m looking out for an answer for:
1. Whats the difference between a PGDBM and MMS degree , How does it really affect wen it comes to placements etc??
2. Are their different cutoffs for diff streams like marketing,HR etc.
3. On what basis the MBA colleges are rated? and what is its effect on companies who actually recruit ppl thru campus interviews?

I m student of TYBSc who got offer of 1.8 pa in mmy campus interview. If I work for 2-3 yrs I can easily reach upto 2.5-2.8 pa . I also gave CET where I scored 98.2%le so I can get into welingkars for eg. which will get me a package of 3 pa after 2 yrs..(considering the lowest as I m a fresher) So is it really worth it?
