Ami, you've explained it correctly.
Just to add to your point that the 'score calculator' is prepared on the relation of the CET scores and their equivalent percentiles.
A person who takes All India Exam is given the score equal to the least score among students who have got similar percentiles in CET.
For example, last year 99.86 percentile meant 135 marks because a person with 99.86 percentile in CET must have got either the score of 135 or more (maybe 136 or so).
This is what has happened at least till last yea and will probably continue this year too though I too don't understand this concept of 'normalization' said to be introduced this year.
