Hi,
...expectedly, since CET is over....very few CET gyaanis mite ave seen this.
MAT clubbed with CET....hmmm:neutral:...
CET- State level entrance, accepted by colleges in Mahrashtra only, conducted once a year, 5 Top B-schools of the country accept this test for 85% of its students
MAT- All India entrance for associated colleges across country,
All India Management Association, very few Top B-schools accept this entrance for Majority of its students, conducted 3 times in a year
ATMA - Again a pan India entrance exam,
Home , was at one time one of the chosen entrance exams for many Top B-schools (SIBM, BIM etc)..again is for associated colleges across country, conducted once a year
(pardon me for the redundancy

)
POINTS AGAINST
Other exams (CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT) constitute only 15% seats for OMS (Out of Maharashtra candidates) in CET colleges.Considering the number of seats OMS students aspire for (95 for the top 5 colleges thru CET collectively)....its still a meagre number.
DTE accepts other exams today....there has been a talk since long that they wud stop using other exam scores.
(Personally) the clubbing of CET with just MAT is not logically aligned (unless there was a sizeable proportion....
We miight then wanna think of renaming this forum, maybe
POINTS FOR
Of all the other exams.....aspirants choose MAT and then ATMA.....simply due to the ease level of these 2 entrances

. Ppl aspiring for CET TOP 5.......leverage MAT scores to improve their chances. Apart from that, there r many Maharashtra colleges.....running "number" of PG programmes....for which MAT and ATMA scores come in handy...
FINALLY
Hence we would then wanna probably send the right message to Puys and the wud be puys, when they search for state level entrances, or for entrances which are conducted by National level bodies for colleges affiliated to them. (Maybe just using CET/MAT/ATMA is also fine)....adding ATMA then is important....and all ATMA discussions shud come over to this thread
So we have CAT
and then the XAT, SNAP, JMET etc
and then there is (State level CET exams....MAT and ATMA....howzzat?
Cheers
