Hey sabtech please do not give wrong information to the people in the forum...its there future and tell them the truth..
i have just passed out of dalmia ...n its the worst mba school..the mentality of staff (not the faculty) is sick..the peon there will talk to you as if they are the boss...
there is only 1-2 faculty in mkting which are good..rest are just plain timepass ..no value addition at all..
n talkin bout placement..please sabtech the placement does not happen by your choice..infact you are forced to sit in a placement presentation ..if u dont attend that you are supposed to pay a fine of RS 250..that talks about the class of the institute....n mind you its not 100% placement..people in my batch have still not placed..all this talk bout 100% placement in dalmia is false..please do not believe them..
its only finance n finace..thts it..in tht also only 2-3 faculty is good..
i STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO GO FOR DALMIA..

U were forced to sit in a presentation not forced 2 take a job there is lot of difference...Dude For ur info I am from dalmia 2...and am proud 2 say that all of the students have done there summers in excellent companies including AC Nielson and i don feel the need 2 write about the companies....Now for the record here is list of marketing professors who r teaching us

Prof Khedkar -Consumer Behavior
Prof Vagh - Market research
Prof Miatra - Sales distribution
Prof Vagh - Brand management
Prof Shravan-Advtg & Promotions
Prof Subbu- Marketing strategy

All of them with industry exp n if u think the count is 1-2 think u mus have bunked ur lectures in college...........

For the record any one can come to dalmia and meet the director Prof P.L Arya......n clarify the placements status.........

dude u know it ...out of that list how many are good professors...having an industry experience does not mean a good professor....
n regarding my bunkin lectures, u can see the attendence sheet...u dont need to get personal here..
n regarding the placement...i know wat my frnds have gone thru...they were jus left without any help...till the end people were waiting for retail companies..not even one turned up...n retail is the most happenin sector rite now..many of the retail companies have gone to other institutes...
n dude summer placement n final placement r totally different...

I would advice 2 all if ur confused by the views of israni40...go 4 dalmiya if u miss out on JBIMS...SYD....KJ...WELNGKAR.....

for finance dalmia is good..but be ready to face the backward mentality of the people in the institute

in simple words...if u wanna take up marketing...go to chetnas or rizvi...do not join DALMIA..
if u wanna take finance..then dalmia is better than chetnas n rizvi just because of 1 professor....
