Okey puys this is the latest...........

Yetsrday ni8 we nailed another submission ........indeed a group work!

Now today our STARATEGY course came to an end, and general feel is the course was good and analysis was mind blowing. We analyed corporate strategies of Honda, GE , Cooper Industries, Walmart and the load of them. My take is ..............boy strategy is a complex stuff and yes........there is always a different side of a story.

I knw u cant make out a lot from my above assesment but wht do u expect .......we did the entire course 2 understand this!!!

Hey btw we got our official college t-shirt yesterday and i am especially glad as BPR a committee which i am part of worked behind the scene to get it.

Now tommorow another paper is lined up and after tht junta is goin to leave for the towns where their intrnshp is lined up.15th is when we get started and one can actually feel the sense of excitement in the campus.

I am too leavin fr Bangalore fr my intrnshp and its possible that fr next one mnth u puys may nt get a lot of info abt life in campus as yours truely will be busy slogging it out. So i sign off hpng fr the best

Yeah Blore being the city of pubs, the unkindmonk will have to slog out, though it remains to be seen as in where. Incidently me n unkindmonk are doin intership at the same company. So i'll keep a tab on him.

With our core courses of MBA coming to an end today, we are 1/2 MBAs now. Phew, wat a feeling man. The learning curve over the last 5 months has been amazing here and guess what, the best is yet to come. We will march into our specializations, when we report back to the campus on 12 Nov. Most of the courses in specialization is primarily conducted by some of the internationally acclaimed profs. Boy, I spent 4 hours yday to get my 19 electives right out of the 54 courses offered. As they say, it is easy to select between the good and the bad but really tough to select the best out of the best.

Well there has been some time since my last post but as i mentioned earlier at the time of internship it is always going to b tough!

The campus must b empty as all of us have left for our intrenships as since its early days yet not a lot of info has trickled in........as in when it happens yours truely will post abt it

As for my intersnhsip goes.....ri8 nw i am tryng 2 understnd the landscape of the prdt which i have been allotted......soon thngs will heat up and then its gng to a different ball game altogether!

I shall obviosly infrm u puys abt it......till then

Great Lakes Admission Process has Started!!

Great Lakes online application for PGPM 2008-09 programme had opened on october 15th, 2007. Hardcopy applications will be available from college from 25th october. Also, brochures and receipts can be obtained from IMS centers. These brochures will have a unique number which needs to be used for logging to and filling in the online application form. These will also be available from October 25th. Please visit our college website for complete details.

Important Dates
Issue of Application forms: 15th Oct 2007
Last Date for issue of Application forms: 10th Jan 2008
Last Date to Submit completed Application: 18th Jan 2008
Interview call starts: 25th Jan 2008
Course begins: 3rd week of April 2008

Intrnshp is goin gr8 guns..........we ( read me n my batchmates )r slogging it out and hopefully like last year we will be able manage ppo's this year too.

Admission season has started and in first 2 days itself we have recvd applcatns which have broken all prevous records.........

It goes wthout sayn that we will be lookin fr the best talent available nd our adcom team will do its best to pick the ri8 nd the brightest future Great Lakers! Kudos to Kamal and Prakatish who handle unlimited queries on Admission thread while also to other chaps who have been wrking behind the scene.

Recently Business India has come out with a smashing stories abt Great Lakes. i am attaching them as they are a great read.

This is Azeem, Chennaite working in Dubai. I am basically a computer engineer and working in commercial side which interests me. I have experience for more than 2 years. I am planning to take MBA for March'08 intake at GLIM. I have given my GMAT but it is not too sounding. I was rejected by SP JAIN in dubai. I am applying in GLIM. What is the chance of getting through. I dont wanna leave this chance because i doubt whether i will have time if i miss this intake. Please reply with the admission criteria. I have already started applying at GLIM.
Is there any special exam conducted by GLIM? Is experience, Essay, GD, PI taken into consideration? Plase help me out in this issue. Looking for your prompt reply guys....

Happy Dusherra to one and all!

May all of you puys have a great year ahead.......

We had a long weekend and the leisure time gave us ome breather in this tight schedule of internship.

My batchmates back in Chennai, went for Garba and expectadly had a ball!! We were obviously not that lucky.........rains in Bangalore spoiled any scope of Garba.......

Nevertheless life goes on nd now v r waiting for Diwali!
