You only need to carry your interview call letter on that day. All other documents have to be sent via email only.

Hi Sir,
In the previous thread, you said that we have to send all our documents via mail. Please note that I didn't send the scanned copies of awards and activities certificates to ISB as it was clearly mentioned in the interview shortlist mail that we have to send the transcripts/marksheets.
Should I send the awards and activities certificates now in a separate mail?

No, those are not required. By all documents we meant all those mentioned the official mail only.

Thank you for the effort taken to answer our queries. I have few small doubts
- Do self employed students have an advantage/disadvantage over others?
- Are there startups emerging immediately post ISB. Although ISB does so much about entrepreneurship why arent there many startups emerging from students from ISB immediately post ISB.
-Can you give me some links/contacts to some of the companies founded by ISB graduates.
ankit | Ankit, Though ISB encourages entrepreneurship but entrepreneurs have no advantage/disadvantage as compared to other students. The school has a full fledged centre for Entrepreneurship, called the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED). A student can get support from this center. There are also specialized courses offered at the ISB for people who want to start on their own. They can make business plans, get the same whetted by experts and also get in touch with VC’s. There have been some startups by students immediately on leaving the B School and this trend is on the rise. To get in touch with alumni with start-up background, please write to us at pgpadmissions@isb.edu Admissions Team | | | | | | | |

P.S. Right now I am a development manager. In the long run I want to oversee the whole product cycle from conceptualization of an idea to delivery the product to the customer.
Soya | Soya, A career in Product Management is highly sought after at ISB. A little knowledge in various functions definitely helps one to go a long way in product management. The ISB’s programme exposes you to the entire strategic frame works required to pursue a career in the Product life cycle management including strategic planning, execution and launch etc... This exposure helps you perform in the product management roles. A number of companies come to the campus for recruitment into a gamut of roles in the product management.

I understand that the average years of experience in ISB is <=5 years.
Will anyone with similar experience get any benefit for his/her experience during placements as far as kind of roles offered are concerned? How big a factor is experience in deciding the seniority of profile?
Also if you can let me know what kind of profiles have been offered to people with ~9 years of experience.
Thanks | Amit, Experience plays an important role in deciding the seniority of a profile. However, the number of years in your work should commensurate the role, achievements and responsibilities you are handling. The career Advancement Services (placement) office at ISB has enough experience to handle all kinds of profiles in a batch and the expectations they have. Attractive roles like Vice-president, Director – software, COO, National Head etc… have been offered to the students in the previous years.

Dear Admissions@ISB,
I am already an MBA from a Tier-II school and have about 6 years of Sales and Business Development experience in Financial Services sector. Currently I am working in a very large and reputed Consulting firm with a ok (early 7 figure) salary in India and doing quite well here with bright proespects.
In view of the above, can you please guide me if:
1- A course at ISB will help me significantly improve my skills and market value?
2- Given the downturn in the market, are the placements likely to be effected for next 1-3 years?
Best Regards

Abhisheksaggi | Abhishek,
1) We will recommend that you do a complete research on ISB and then arrive at a decision on your own.
2) We will not be able to comment on what will happen in the next 3 years but this year there has been no fall in the number of recruiters coming to the campus or in their enthusiasm to recruit from the current batch at ISB.
