Quoting the ISB website verbatim:

5) If I submit more than one GMAT score, which score will be considered by the ISB?

The higher score would be considered, provided it is within the validity period of five years.

I would like to share my profile here and ask you gew questions which may be useful to others also.

I am a Design Engineer (Automotive Sector) having work experience of 5 years by March 2009.

I am in UK from Sep 2006 and will be here till March 2009.

My GMAT - 690 V-36 Apt-47

Awa- 4/6

Now my questions:

How versatile is it being a Design Engineer (not IT) working for a Engineering Services Company ?

Since my GMAT is on lower side, what other factors do i need to concentrate so as to make my application strong?

If i apply in the very early rounds say by July15th (as the online application link is going to start from July), when will the result for the same would be known?

How is important is the GMAT score for getting shortlisted?

What is the avg exp for your batch and avg GMAT?

Hope to get all the answers

Cheers.

Hi Barkers,
Good to find someone of similar background...
I am in Germany since 2004..in simulation....
Cheers

Re: ISB 2009 Aspirants - 18-04-2008, 11:34 AM

I have seen many posts here which simply say ."How is my profile??" "Do tell me is it worth ISB??" "What chances do i have with this profile??"

There is no one better than us who can tell us where we stand..
The profile has three parts
Acedemics, Extra cirrulcular, Work -ex

Academics:- You urself know how have you fared in your academic career
Extra-cirrucular - if you have participated in some national/ international events n won, that would be wow.. but even if you hv participated in an event in your locality , you may showcase that ..it would all depend on the way you have presented your story.
if u dont hav any , start working for an NGO or start doing some social service.. experience the challenges and live the stories that come your way..
Work -ex- a regular IT guy may be having much interesting job than the SC judge of India.. you never know.. again its the way you present..

there is nothing such as a great profile and nothing such as bakwaas profile - its the way you present it , thats what it matters!!

Download ISB broacher from their website..it would be better if you understand ISB in and out before applying..

the min exp required is 2 years full time work ex after graduation..
