well, i was thinking in this way (do let me know if it is a stupid idea

) -
- go to counselors and ask them to select schools for me.
- have my own list of schools ready (that definitely includes top-15 ranked schools)
- if there's a match, well and good. otherwise, I'll take their help in applying to the "safe" schools suggested by them and apply to schools, which I like, on my own.
p.s. apart from the school selection thing, i hope taking a counselor's help in reviewing the essays, recommendations, CV etc is good idea !!
