Hi. After about a week of submitting the application, I received a confirmation from one of the admission coordinators that my application has been scrutnized and is complete. Further, the email said that I will be informed by May 11 about INSEAD's decision about the interview.

I guess as long as you submit before the dayend, you application will be considered as long as you completed all the requirements. Atleast this is what the website says.

Actually i m looking for help in essay writing...i want to know how to build a story about what u wanna convey to the school.like i wanna say that i am a hardworking,easygoing guy in personal characterstics,so i m gona express this idea on the application form.I searched for essay help from Princeton,their charges are exhorbitant.....
and if at all i want to take professional help,whom shud i go to..

Congratulations for the excellent GMAT score. It shows your commitment towards MBA and will definitely given you an edge over others.

It is infact quite a tough task to right a good application to any of the top 20 business schools (probably tougher than GMAT!). All the ideas have to come from you and only you can know best what are your positive and negative points. You could buy a couple of books on Amazon or at a local book store with sample essays to help you get an idea about how to go about writing the essays. One good book I know is 65 successful Harvard Business Essays. After your 1st draft, if you still feel that you need help, I think it is a good idea to look for professional help. However, make sure that ideas are yours and to a large extent the writing style should be yours.

As far as the cost is concerned my friend, if you compare these expenses to the overall cost of an MBA, it is probably peanuts and even smaller if you consider the cost to the benefits you will get from an MBA. My advice is do not compromise on the quality of your application to save a few thousand rupees unless you are really short of money. Good luck.

Going by the website, I was hoping for some communication stating that my application was complete, as I had finally submitted at 10 pm France time on March 28th.

As yet, I do not have any email from them. I hope I get considered as a Round 1 applicant. I do not see anything pending from my side, but would still mail them and try to get an update.

Nice to join u guyz.. i too applied for INSEAD jan 2008 intake.

My profile:

Work Experience : 4 + years experience (HCL technologies (IT) + NTPC Ltd (non IT))
GMAT : 770.
acads : 80 + thru out.
Extracurricular : one step above ground.

faced a tough time editing my essays finally .. wrapped up and submitted.

Anybody here has idea abt how many indians get interview call every year on an average?

I had exactly the same message for sometime. Later the message changed and currently is says that you application is complete and will be evaluated soon. Additionally, received an email saying that all requirements are complete and I will be informed by May 11th about Insead's decision on interview.
