I second that to the core. In US, nobody cares a tiny bit about FT/ Forbes/ WSJ. BW and US News hands down rule in recruiting.

Besides a couple of tiny views (the size of a quark) previously posted on this thread, it is interesting to confirm the amazing climbs of CEIBS, Cambridge, AGSM and Coppead in the FT 2007 ranks. Of course, these ranks. should not be taken too seriously though they are fun to view and "analyze". On a last note, I invite Susie Derkins/Kgkid to smartly and convincingly refute the following statement:

In Silly Billy´s opinion, the top global schools are:
1. HEC Paris
2. Manchester Business School
3. Sauder School of Business

Meanwhile Ill take a nap.....

cheers

What a joke !! Susie you need to step out of your world and taste some FT tea. Peruvian is right and I second him.

Sorry but I seriously doubt whether I should still remain subscribed to this thread.

While you might consider me taking a stab at it, i just relayed some facts that HR folks in the circle of my influence told me. I am not here to convince anyone. Better luck next time.

Gosh! You and your Peruvian friend really do want my attention. Again, how cute!

Dear Barun, just enjoy the thread! sometimes its fun to think about what came first: the egg or the chicken....
though a bunch of Brit scientists recently supported the former.

take care

Cheers for your ad hominem argument. Too bad it only suggests that you may not be able to back up what you are saying very convincingly.

What is the basis of your assertion that made a mess of its program? Care to point us less enlightened souls to some resources/links?

All I know is that the the participants in the 'new' Yale program are still in their first year !! You could theorise all you want but there is nothing like real facts to blow such theories out of water. And we all know that new program SOM'ers arent going to be out in the corporate world in any significant numbers before 3-4 years. Until that time is it really prudent to trash SOM?

Yes, Yale'e new curriculm looks attractive and Yale is taking steps to improve its image...But we must realize that it takes time to build a brand and we wd expecting too much if we put Yale SOM ahead of MIT Sloans, Kelloggs, Ross and Dukes of the world...I think it wd take more than just 3-4 years for Yale SOM to be talked about in the same breath as some of the other schools...The other schools have bigger alumni base, excellent reputation, brand etc...Yale SOM is definitely not going to be a top 10 global school even in the next 5-6 years.....But as Iday rightly said, it eventually boils down to 'fit'...These rankings shd be taken with a pinch of salt....If I love a school, I wd definitely choose it over some of the other higher ranked schools...My 2 cents..
