NYU Stern (2007) Applicants

I have an interview invite from NYU Stern...realised that Stern rarely has a telephonic interview and strongly encourages applicants to meet in person(preferably at Greenwich Campus in US)....There are offsite interviews in Mumbai in March but a slot cannot be assured as it would depend upon availiability of seats.....

Is anybody thinking of going to NYU Stern campus for the interview....would it make a big difference if u go to the campus for interview....??..(looks like a tough task considering the visa, cost, logistics etc.etc)....Is there anybody else who is interviewing in Mumbai in March??

I dont have great stats...but I love the school so much that I sacrificed the quality of some of the other applications(rochester, Tuck, ISB and Darden) for Stern....There is still a tough battle ahead...Stern interview can be a killer as it is not a blind intrview and they can get into nittie gritties...but hope it is not as grilling as the ISB one......

ATB to you...the invite must be coming soon as they have just started rolling them out...

If anyone else has recievd the invite, please let me know..it wd be a great help to work out the modalities together.....I will most probably go ahead with an interview in Mumbai coz going to US for the interview looks tough and i dont think it makes a significant difference....Does it??

Thanks for the nice words incarnation. I think attending interview at campus matters for the applicants who are currently in US or based over there because school do understand various constraints (visa, finance, availability of off from work place etc etc) associated with an international applicant. Try to give your best shot at Mumbai. If you still have some doubts you can very well get them clarified from the adcomm by mailing them.

followed u here to pagalguy. first time here. i hang out more on the BW Forums.
i e-mailed them explaining my position and requesting an interview earlier...
consdering that they have all the info in their website, they r probably not going to entertain any such requests. just reflects bad planning on my part.
anyways, if i don't get a reply within 2 days i am calling them up.
And i registered in the website anyways for March.

if u have the opportunity to go to NY for th interview, i wud stringly encourage u to go! apart from getting over with early it wud show ur committment to Stern...
