targetgmat08,

a 700 GMAT is definitely a plus, but the thing about GMAT is that, a lower GMAT wont keep you out, but a higher GMAT wont necessarily get to you in.

Feel free to ask me any Qs regarding bschools when u are shortlisting schools. I wil be glad to help.

pinkii,

consider Thunderbird, NJIT, SUNY Buffalo.

As far as settling abroad goes, it is truly a personal choice. Some people like it better there and some people like it better here. I do not think that doing your MBA in US will mean that you will stay there for sure. In fact it will give you good exposure and a chance to compare two lifestyles.
@just4anshul..

Coming back to INDIA after an international MBA is a good IDEA at present because now the happening place is here in INDIA.

But then, few queries..
1. In INDIA, one wont be able to get a salary of the kind he might have got in US or elsewhere (in $ terms). So wil the MBA grad returned home get payed well here?

2. Will the kind of pay he is getting is enough for him to nurse the LOAN of LAKHS of RS and also lead a above average life?

3. Apart from the top 5 or top 10, i am really doubtful how many of the TOP international B Schools command a premium in INDIA.

I will be great if someone can throw some light on these..

i heard that isb is strictly looking prior academic record..........

Puys, I need your opinion on an slight dilemma that I have -

I got an admit from college X in March and they needed me to confirm my decision by 1st of April. After I confirmed my decision for college X, I get accepted to two other colleges and one of them offers me full tuition waiver.

Now I want to break this news to college X (I obviously cannot pass on an offer of a free ride). I just want to know if there is an easy way I can do this ?

Does this usually happen with other people too ??

Please help !!

I did the same too. I only got a response from MBS. But there was no evaluation. they just gave me a general idea about their institute advised me to refer to the site. So can u tell me a little about how your CV was evaluated? What did they advise you to do?

It is not unusual and happens with a lot of people. Think about which college you would prefer (leaving side tuition fees). If you prefer the college which has offered you a waiver, then it is an easy choice. Tell X about this and join the new college. If you prefer X, tell them about the situation. Tell them you have received a full tuition waiver from other college but would still prefer coming to X and are comparing both the schools on the financing aspects. May be you could get a better deal from X
