I've got waiting 13 at MBA Global Business...I need to know if it'll confirm...as per your exprience...since I'll really crucial for me at this junture...if I'll make it or not...as I have to resign from workplace accordingly...

i wanna do mba in finance iims' the obvious target number one along with IIFT nd XLRI i dont wanna apply to too many insti except mdi,spjain nd wit bout its NMAT when it is generally held
pls guide me regarding its MBA course or wht nd bout placements nd campus in general i have searched website but since u ppl r there u can tell me better coz i wanna specialize in finance nd if possible guide me some other ins which come under cat or independent known for their finance frm ur exp in field

nmat was held last year on 11dec and on 23rd jan last to last year.
nmims will shortlist around 2000 students out of 30K+ students
cut off for last two years was around 82 out of 200
abt placements last year avg placement was 7.47 lakh for the general mba student

AND FOR rahul if u wanna do finance nm is really the place for u last yr finance average was around 8.5 so u can go for NMAT
but believe me its a very tough call last yr 33k students sat for it of which finally 240 got the final call so all the best and keep in touch for help whenever u need

I am Mihir. I have done B.Tech(IT) in 2005 and right now I am working in a s/w company in Bangalore and have currently arnd 1 yr experience. I appeared for NM during final yr of my engg. but didnt convert the GD/PI. I am not sure whether I should give it a try this year as there does not seem to be any transparency regarding placements. Due to personal reasons, I have time constraints and would only go for a 2-yr course if it really gives me enough benefits. Right now my salary is more than 3lacs/annum.
I shall be grateful to anyone who can give me the real picture regarding placements for similar profiles like me. Things like placements by IT companies, pay packages offered by them and job profiles offered by them,etc.

I will be appearing for NMAT on 10 dec 2006. have some doubts.
1) In the information handout received with the NMAT prospectus it is specified that " There are 240 seats (15% management quota)and the institute is Gujurati Linguistic Minority Institute and appropriate provision of seats will be made for Linguistic Minority subject to other conditions."
Can anyone tell me what provisions are made for Gujurati students like me and what are the conditions.
2) Can any one tell me what is the Computer based test after NMAT and what is the presentation for.
