Does extra Cur Act. like member of Social welfare Org helps in getting into ISB ? - 04-06-2005, 06:17 PM

Hi Guys & gals

I am A s/w Engineer with 1 yr industry exp ...
I am interested in applying for joining ISB 06-07 cycle . People with whom I have discussed GMAT say besides a good score in GMAT ( and good acads ), one needs to have a wide interest of activities :

Say
- a member of Social Welfare Organisation / NGO
- a diverse range of interest like glass painting , teaching , educating the unprevileged etc...
- NTSE scholarship etc

Please let me know if the above are really an edge in getting into ISB ? If so , any tips on how to do so would be a great help.... You see I have a good acad background , but involved in no extra co curricular activities .. ANy tips to improve that by Nov 05 ?
