Anyone preparing for GRE

Hey Junta!!

know dat PG is one for CAT/GMAT et all but i wanna ask u guys that is there one whoz also planning to give GRE n TOEFL for US colleges or is it just me...i have decided that if im nt able to crack the CAT then i wud swtich back to computers and i wud then apply for my MS(Comp Sci) in US for the Fall intake...

so is there anyone else here giving gre???

i gave my GRE a month back. scored a 1460 ( 800 q and 660 v) .
also planning to give CAT and GMAT and all the exams around.
i am not too keen on higher tech studies but should keep options open...maybe with a schol or someting. i would prob just go for it.

Post CAT ! Yes ! But No apping and stuffs...Just for the sake of mugging up the WL...Which I wouldn't do otherwise, I am sure !

ping srijit (the d00d from IIMA who posts only on the quizzophile thread)....He scored a 1600/1600 on the GRE and a 6.0 on the AWA my belief is there are lots of ppl on the forum who take up the GRE too...dont ask me why....

nivedita for australia ielts is enough... no need to give gre exam...


wollongong is good for msc computer science along with monash and australian national university

took gre in june 2003 got verbl-710,quant-570,total-1280.
not applying this year.

my 2 cents on gre:-

CHUCK BARRONS OUT!!!!!

yeah u heard it right.barrons!! thats right,just chuck it if u want anything close 2 srijits score. otherwise u will screw up like i did.

my suggestion for vocab:- a good dictionary like websters or oxford and nothing more.
for quants:-mr. aggarwals piece of work is more than enough.

just remember BAN BARRONS
