GMAT takers JUL/AUG 2008

hey sorry to bother u agian mukul..

the most likely two week holiday wont be for gmat though. i have to be somewhere out. So what i wanted to know was minus two weeks startin from lets say feb 27th is june a good time to take the exam.. just an idea

See the idea is you shud have 2-3 months of time...So my guess is the time you have shud be enuf to prepare and take it in june. And since you are not starting from scratch, it shud be easier.

I will be giving my GMAT in july end. I have registered on www.mba.com......but havnt got ne update on it till now......they said it will take 2 working days.....i registered on last friday......how much time does it take normally....should i re register......

By the way my profile :

BE Computers......not so good acads...good acads in 10th n 12th...
25 months of workex in TCS mumbai.......6 months in UK......have some appreciations at international n national level.......some community service activities.....hobbies include - guitar,reading,photography.......

hey Mukul,

Thanks I have taken a date of 16th june.i think this should be ok. Another thing i wanted to know, i have gotten a lot of online material both from ur blog and also from some pals. I however will buy OG11,kaplan and manhattan books as time progresses. Do you recommend completing all of this and is it better to the toughest in the end or somewhere in the middle of prep.
Also i learnt its better to stick to one forum either scoretop.com or testmagic.com. What is ur opinion. I don want to bombard myself with info from too many sources.

sorry for constantly bombardin you with ques. but i want to not make any mistakes this time. the domestic exam trauma is still to wear off.

Yeah I recommend completing all of that. Stick to one forum...that shud be enuf...i wud suggest you to actually clear ur doubts and start the prepping. Don't waste time after you have enuf info bout starting it.

I am also planing up for gmat in july or august..Though i am still in RnD phase...
I have princeton study material and OG11.....
It would be great if someone can shed some light on the process involved and preparation mantra to grab good score....like wat al books ,wat kinda r n d in parallel,wat kinda things one needs to take into consideration for opting for different unis(possible factors like cost,place,duration of mba,funding/grants from unis etc) and put them in ur list of target universities wid some ground wrk in the backend...
I would also like to know dat til date i haven started the real preparation i.e studying ,is it too late to start prep for takin the xam smwhere in july or so???Howmuch time and wat strategy shud i follow to make it to a real good score??because my aim is to go for unis where funding is der which i can leverage bec of good score and profile..

Moreover wat shud i do in parallel wid preps n rNd to build up a good profile ...Though the main focus is exam rt now but thes things need to be there and jus cant happen in days...so we gotta tak dat also in consideration...in parallel....

From few ppl i came to knw dat we can find a gmat test tool at mba.com site which is lik official site..and dat tool is good enuff..and time after time it gets updated so everyone can download time after time so as to have updated set of questions ....
