Re: GMAT Takers Jan 2008 - 21-11-2007, 05:06 PM

Hi,

I am also planning to give my GMAT in jan-march
I have 1 1/2 years experience by jan 08.
apart from an undergrad in engg, i also have a masters in CS from Oxford univ.

Currently I am working as an analyst in the credit division of a top investment bank in london.

I am planning on applying to only HBS, Wharton, Stanford and LBS......

I am a bit scared that I don't have a profile that stands out coz i have very less work exp... but since i will be having 3 years experience before i join a bschool, I think it should be okaish on the work exp side.

I am planning to prepare from Kaplan for english... had a look at GMAT quant and it seems very easy ... would probably do it from Kaplan or princeton or google and find as many GMAT free quant question and do them as well...... and also planning to do the OG as well.......

Good Luck to all

PS: can anyone tell me what i need to do to make my profile better since i am only applying to the top b schools

Let me know if you have any specific questions

I ve planned to take it sometime during the end of jan 2008 or beginning of feb 2008 after the indian b school exams

if nothing clicks out in india (read indian b school) this time then got to look for options abroad n isb

But wannu take GMAT when i m in CAT mode...yet to start my prep for it.will be takin the initial "diagnostic test" this week....

Whats the ideal time before which we ve to book gmat if we wannu take it in jan end...is it location specific (i m from chennai)
will it be ok if i book sometime during december mid..can i get a jan end slot ?

Want to take my gmat by end Jan or first week feb....

moi condition same as Obsessed_bout_mba's

Took a diagnostic yesterday..GPrep 1, scored 710 - VA 38, QA 49... I guess I'll need to work more on DS and fine tune RC/CR/SC..as I was able to finish this section only in the last minute...

Wud 1 month prep be enough??..as i cant start gmat focussed prep untill Jan... Also, what are the good colls that ...will be available for application during that period?

ppl preparing for Gmat kindly guide..

Rock on!

Planning to take in Jan last week or fab first week. Trying to cross 720... So far done with Kaplan Paper Test - 650. My strategy is Quant focussed, so would try to get max there.
