All those are really serious about ur GMAT, take the VIP membership at Scoretop
For ur prep:
1. QA - Stick to OG11, Try the geometry lessons at scoretop VIP. They are very good.
2. SC - Manhattan SC is the best, Princeton review is good too. Finally solve all problems in OG11.
3. CR - Refer the material available at Scoretop VIP. Nothing can beat this. It is written to perfection. Then solve OG11.
4. RC - Well, this cant be learnt. U shuld try ur own technique here. I followed reading the entire passage quickly and then answering the questions. That was best suited for me.

Hi Deepak,

The idea of sharing the VIP membership sounds great ... I would be glad if you could allow access to your account ... I would pay 30% of the fee gladly. This percent is also negotiable.

Feel free to contact me if this deal sounds good to you. I have less time to go through the pains of registration. It would be of great help if you oblige to my request.

Thanks dude

Re: GMAT Prep Material - 16-04-2008, 12:17 AM

Hi All,

This ones a general question to anyone who has worked on the same ...

I've got the following books with me and about 35 days to go for my test.

a. Kaplan Premier program - 2007-2008 edition
b. Kaplan 800 - 2008 edition

With which book do I kick start the advance training ?

I have worked my way through 30% of each section in OG11 ... put a hold as I understand from the posts that its better to take up th Kaplan advance material before the OG11.

Looking forward to some expert advice real soon ppl ...

Thanks and Regards,
Arun

Though the Kaplan may help u in the QA section, it wot give u a clear idea when it come to CR. Stick to OG11.

Thanks a tonne Dheepak,

Will move through Kaplan problems fast and get back to OG11.

Point taken with regard to 1000SC and 1000CR as well. Have downloaded the same. Will work them out soon. Hope time permits as I am working full time as an IT professional.

I need another advice with regard to AWA section. I scored 4 on the same in GRE in 2006. Had spent only a day toward the same. Do I need to push in more effort in this area?
I'm sure my general AWA skills have improved with work-ex but still am curious.

I have about 6-7 CAT tests (and 2-3 diagnostic tests) in hand (CD's and online together). At what intervals do you suggest I take them. Have until May 18th for D-Day.

Thanks for wishes dude ...

I too prepared for GMAT AWA only for a day. You have to write without grammatical errors. They just look at your sentence formation. Very little importance is given to the depth of the subject. Use the template given below:
first para - Explain the topic and say the various possibilities and take a side.
Second para - Support ur stand with an example (from ur exprience, mostly)
Third para - Put the 2nd example forward
Final para - Put ur strongest supporting evidence forward and conclude.

About the CATs, Take the GMAT prep 3ce - 2eeks before ur exams, 1 week before ur exams and 2 days before ur exams. Dont take any tests on the last 2 days.
Abt the other CATs from Kaplan and Princeton review - They'll not help project ur correct score, U will usually get 50-70 points (more in the case of Kaplan) lesser than the actual GMAT. So dont lose heart.

Hope that helped

Re: GMAT Prep Material - 18-04-2008, 06:33 PM

Hi all,

I gave my GMAT on 28th Sep and it has been a too long now. The thing is i got a very low score in that. Low matlab very low it was just a meager score of 500.

I want to again resume my studies. So i am in deep thinking as to where i can start of from.

Please let me know thoughts on this.

Thanks
