1 alone is sufficient...14 are remaining now after u take out 6
2 is not...u dont know bout the the rest three...

so A is tha answer...

these are pretty simple...I mean...you can put up some gud ones..involving number theory and fractions...inequalities..

Yeah I shall post some good ones involving number theory and fractions.

OR, you can do one thing. Give only one question in one post BUTTT give a UNIQUE question NO. to each. Any one who solves, should post by quoting the respective question no..

Ans : d
1) Rel. speed = 10mph. So time = 1mile/10mph = 0.1h
2) 3min --> (1 - 0.5)= 0.5mile. So 1 more mile in 6 min.

POST 6:

Ans: a
1) 100 employees with coll degrees
=> 50% of empl = 100
=> total employees = 200.
So above 40 = 60% of 200 = 120.
No. of empl above 40 with masters = 30% of 120 = 36.

2) all are percentages. So a number value cant be obtained.

(1) When the shop opened last Friday, there were 160 sweaters in its inventory.
(2) All but 40 sweaters in the shop’s inventory were sold last Friday.

A Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D EACH Statement ALONE is sufficient.
E Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

Answer choice would be (D )

Given: 3/4 sweaters sold. Each for 20$
Analysis:
Using option 1 )
There were 160 sweaters initially.
3/4 of 160 = 120. Thus revenue = 120 * 20 = 2400$

Using option 2 )
All but 40 sweaters in the shop’s inventory were sold
i.e X/4 = 40 thus x = 160
3/4 of 160 = 120

Thus each alone can provide an answer.!!
