hi,

i wanna take up TOEFL soon. i am yet to decide whether to take up GRE or GMAT ., but anyways toefl is a must ...so planning to take it soon..

i wanna get 280+ score ...for that ..what is the amount of effort to put in .... how many days/hrs of prep does that req? can anyone suggest me good material for prep?

i came to know that essay writing plays a vital role in final score.. if anyone can give me the actual essay topics which appeared in the exam... i'l be thankful

actual topics can be downloaded from the official toefl site ie www.toefl.org..
I think the format os toefl has also changed. TSE is also included in the new generation Toefl. Dosent require preparation more than a week if you have studied in a english medium school. Just get some practice tests and you will know.. About TWE its way too easy. Something like what is good parenting ? you have won a lottery what will you do with it go to picninc buy a car etc .. just check out the topics

But still write 1-2 essays before you go.. i was relaxing and thought i would do fine but did pathetic in essay writing. My writing skills are way to poor..
you must have guessed that by this post by now lol
